@registered2nd @lennysan Sounds like a great use case. The increased context window must help a lot! Any pointers for someone who wants to get started doing something similar? Are there any negatives or shortcomings to this process?

I’m using Claude Code to help writing an alt-history hard sci-fi novel about 2,400+ people from a university anniversary dropped into 1628 South Africa. It coded up an economic simulation with a proper academic framework (ABM+HANK) and helps maintain a Postgres database that tracks characters with full psych/cognitive profiles, locations, equipment, resources, productions, timeline snapshots, and in-world documents. Basically, I use these to keep track of my world and test scenarios. Also since it has file system acess, it helps me organize research materials, extract long convos with AI and break them into themed summaries I can reuse later; handle mass file renaming, merging and editing, version control using Git Worktree; and ofc scene planning and writing itself, with its ability to read the right context in when prompted. I started writing 1 year ago, but Claude Code has been transformative for a non-technical marketer like me. I am doing things I could never imagine doing even just 3 months ago...

Do you use Claude Code (or some other CLI) for a non-coding use case? I'd love to know how. Please share in the comments. If it's awesome, I'll feature you in the newsletter 👀

Most teams aren’t blocked by motivation. They’re blocked by environment. People hold back ideas, play politics, and manage up, not because they want to, but because the system nudges them to. Fix that, and everything else gets easier.

@skirano This looks killer. I'm putting together a workshop for a client on AI tools for designers and was looking for something like this! Would love to get early access. If it solves their particular challenges, I can recommend it!

When everything changes rapidly, your product roadmap had better focus on solving problems and building features. How could you possibly know what to build 9 or even 6 months from now with all the rapid change around us? Checkout today's newsletter: roadmapweekly.com/p/the-problem-…

It's 2014. You're writing code in Sublime Text, managing projects in Trello, and building UIs with Bootstrap 3. You don't know it yet, but this is as good as things will ever get, and it's only downhill from here.

@steedancrowe Yes exactly - ready would be much better. The border is what was indicative of what I wanted to show, but I can now realise that it’s not very clear in what it’s trying to present. Will fix this tonight! Appreciate the input

@steedancrowe 2. Will look into the picking up of card from the draw pile - might be due to the fact that my server is setup in India and the card data is sent from the server when you click on the draw deck. I will try a different implementation once - but I get the point. Completely valid!

@arijit1809 Fair enough, lol. So much of games are about feel, so if it's a common point of feedback, maybe the deck is shuffled too well? 😂

@steedancrowe 3. I promise you the deck is shuffled properly 😬 the shuffling is done using Fisher Yates algorithm - I will do some more test runs to validate the shuffling Also thanks a lot for the detailed feedback, really glad you liked it🩷

Interesting! I understand what happened now, but yes, that is confusing. Maybe instead of start, the other player could click 'ready'? It seems smart to let the host know if other players aren't ready; maybe indicate with an icon around the user? I think right now the border just changes green.

@steedancrowe Hi Steedan! Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback 1. This might be due to the other player not clicking on start game on their end - I think the UX for this is a bit confusing and I will work on this. I should let the host know if any player has not clicked start. Continued -

I had a play-through last night with my son. First, I want to say that it was a great experience overall! Based on my experience, I have a couple of points of feedback. 1. For some reason, when we first launched our game from the lobby, even when the other player was there, it launched with just bots and he was left waiting in the lobby. I had to create a new lobby, but on the second attempt it worked. I can try to re-create or provide the lobby code if that helps. 2. Picking up from the draw pile is slow. Everything else feels snappy and lively, but when I click on the draw pile to pick up a card, there is a long delay between interaction and result. 3. I can't prove it, but the deck seems stacked. I get the feeling there's not enough randomness, kind of like when my kids do a bad shuffle. Again, I can't prove it (yet), just a feeling. Thanks for putting such a great game out into the world! It was a lovely experience, and I look forward to seeing what else you come up with. This is a great one for social times at work (I work remote).

@NicolasZu Very cool! I used to play Minecraft a lot with my boys, and it would take hours to build things; I love the idea of just typing things into existence. Great idea!

I've received a LOT of requests to play the game. Thanks! So, I am working on it but it will be *limited* as the AI Gen is not free! Follow-me and comment so I can PM you the link! P.S. yes this game is 100% coded by AI! I am also taking prompt requests! It's limitless lol:
Nicolas Zullo@NicolasZu

Cool stuff: This weekend I vibe-coded an entire multiplayer game built entirely around "prompting", think Minecraft but with prompts! 🤯 It's the first game I've made where my friends and I spent 5 hours straight playing, it was so fun and unique. This map was 100% empty!

Convinced a university to scan Facebooks little red book on a $150k archival scanner The best PDF’s I could find were @amasad’s and a remastered version that were both low quality Reply if you’d like me to send you the link when it’s ready - should be the highest quality publicly available version to ever exist
