$GRAB & The Secret Chart🧵
Grab is breaking out because Fundamental is breaking out. $GRAB is projected to hit $1B quarter by Q4 2025( at 70% odd after @Alipay and @OpenAI deals). 2026 with tourism boost, Grab SuperApp should be able to lock in 30-50% revenue growth along with GrabMart.
To be precise, GRAB price action started doing better since Q3 2024(profitable & FCF+). Where @AnthonyPY_Tan kept profitable growth as a anchor for the business. It is more sustainable that way.
It was also the year of 2021/2022 where Grab management understood, price war was unsustainable, anyone could come in and offer $0.10 cheaper. That was how GrabUnlimited was born, very much similar to Costco membership or Amazon Prime membership. The membership has to bring more saving/value to differentiate from competition.
The worst came to $GRAB(i was not a shareholder) when @federalreserve started the most aggressive QT path, and mad price war came from multiple players from different countries. Hence we saw that massive negative net income and -FCF. That led to a large decline in price action.
"Secret sauce" + pristine balance sheet were a plus to win over competitors. Consolidation in SEA is happening, especially Goto in Indonesia(largest market) as you followed my detail tracking of its founders and corruption case linked to Goto.
What shareholders should expect, as FFR is on the path to go down(we dont know how fast), but that is a massive catalyst for Grab.

And don't forget, low FFR or easier global financial condition led to over 104% average revenue growth for $GRAB from 2020 to 2022. FFR declining path will only help GRAB business and shareholders here! Will link down the thread where I talked abt why I Chose GRAB as a large position.
Anthony wants growth, he will get it. EPS should have a small growth QoQ or YoY as Grab is prioritizing growth in the medium term to grow GrabUnlimited and GrabAds(2 major net income drivers). Grab Drone is going to take time to scale, once that is done, it is going to be 50-70% margin for delivery. Mobility should be the based service like the $4.99 Rotisserie Chicken at @Costco or the Free 1-2 days shipping from @amazon prime membership. Just break even on ea transaction(Mobility) so to speak.
GrabFin will produce some of the most amazing B2B solutions(Like FICO) and flywheel effect for the SuperApp. From digital-first products like payments, lending, insurance, and investments directly within the Grab app, and recenlt partnered with Alipay, where Chinese tourists can book all Grab services from Alipay+Voyager, reducing the friction of downloading GrabApp(for tourism or short-term stay). GrabFin will also act as a vehicle to add more drivers' supply where folks need cheap loan to buy/rent so they can earn income that is 2 to 3x the average salary(Bottom of Pyramid core). If Mobility is the $4.99 Rotisserie Chicken, GRAB has to make sure it has enough driver supply to service the 95% market share demand, especially during high demand hours.
I belive @AnthonyPY_Tan will expand to a new region as soon as 2027 or sooner. This is most likely a collaboration with $uber, where the region Uber is struggling due to lack of "secret sauce". Don't forget, GRAB success is also Uber success as a large shareholder since 2018 exit(Lost and sold to Grab). Grab needs permission to expand to where Uber operates. Expansion does not mean near term profit, it is to fuel more long-term growth and Anthony's ambition. Bottom of the Pyramid is to service and uplift 5+ billion people, mostly $5-$10 a day income folks. GRAB is only 14% thesis, so 86% more to go. Or this is the Costco with 321 warehouses in 2000, and today is 910+ warehouses. We are still very EARLY!
And LTM (Last Twelve Months) offers a better or real-time snapshot of Grab's progress!

Yesterday’s announcements only continued to prove that Robinhood is a generational company & Vlad is a generational founder.
Imagine multiple events…with multiple new products…attacking multiple new verticals…for the next decade.

$GRAB
This name has become what I like to call my “third album.”
The first album was Palantir. The second one was Robinhood.
The third one has become Grab & I think most people that follow me have been able to recognize that.
Why album?
To me, as a content creator in finance, your brand is really only as good as your picks.
If you want to actually build a name for yourself, you have to find the names that are contrarian enough to make people really question your logic, but if you are right…it builds the ethos of who you are as an investor.
You don’t really build a brand off picking $NVDA, (unless you actually were early to it) so it really has to be in names that require deep amounts of DD and creating a serious thesis that most people don’t easily care about.
My first album was Palantir & an incredible community was formed. The stock has done well.
The second album was Robinhood, which almost replicated Palantir ($7-$100 in 2.5yrs) and also has had a great community form.
The third album is Grab and an incredible community is forming.
I have heard all the people say “Palantir was just luck,” and still hear the people say “Robinhood was just double luck,” so for me, Grab is a special name in my career as I don’t think it will be a function of “luck,” (which I really, really disagree with — try spending 2yrs with Palantir at $7 and seeing zero movement but producing a video daily before chalking it all up to luck) so I think this name is not the “next PLTR or HOOD,” but rather the first GRAB.
My public PT is $10 by 2027. I am sticking to that & I could be completely wrong.
But you have to put your brand on the line if you are going to build a name, and I will likely get things wrong in my career like all the greats, but the exciting part about the journey is that you don’t know if you will be right or wrong. The DD I have personally done and run through makes this journey special as it is built on the past two albums, what I learned, and how I am applying it to this album.
If you don’t swing, you never have a chance to be right.
These “albums” aren’t manufactured — they tend to happen when you find a new name and get obsessed with it. PLTR & HOOD were names I happened to get obsessed with, and GRAB became the third. Each has their own characteristics that define it, their own different songs, but nonetheless, they have become my three albums.
Two albums have created some great music, the third one is in production. If the album is great, you get people to listen to your music. If the album sucks, people will let you know.
Seeing Bridgewater & Oaktree double down on $GRAB today is a small step in a long journey to help make me think this album would be worth listening to.
The fun thing is, albums are more fun to hear as a community, and there is a FANTASTIC community of DD being formed around this name with people like @MikeLongTerm @GabGrowth @sam_badawi @sachinvats and more. These people are NOT grifters, they genuinely believe in their DD and actually care about sharing it with the masses.
It’s exciting to see where the album takes us.
It could be a flop or it could be an incredible albums, but putting it all out there with a real community is what makes the journey of “going for it” so special.
