In April, energy prices will come *down* £117 a year and minimum wage will go *up* £950 a year. Making someone on minimum wage £1067 a year better off.
This Labour govt, like all govt’s, has made mistakes but not doing enough to tackle the cost of living isn’t one of them.

Safety, dignity and justice should never depend on status or power. And no one is above accountability. Labour said they were serious about ending violence against women and children - an important message from the government here that no one is above accountability.

Reform want to:
- cut the minimum wage that Labour introduced and raised
- end the NHS that Labour created
- cut back workers rights that Labour have delivered
Reform has said the working class have had it too good for too long.
Reform will make people poorer.

I can't help but feel - given how Starmer hasn't broken the law like Johnson or tanked the economy like Truss - how much this reflects, in part, the extent the UK right-wing media still holds sway over British opinion. Sure, he's an unremarkable PM, but the worst? Really?

Tonight, Labour MPs voted to scrap the two child limit – a move that puts us on course to drive the biggest reduction of child poverty in a single Parliament.

Farage and Polanski are cut from the same cloth: loud, grievance-fuelled populists who thrive on protest. Manchester is a proud, progressive city which has seen heavy investment from Labour. I hope Gorton & Denton recognise this.

Interesting point not being raised with him by the media: if the Greens really thought they could win in Gorton & Denton, why isn't Zack Polanski their candidate? Answer: because they can't win, and this isn't about winning for them, its about denting Labour to let Reform in.

If i was a constituent in Fareham and ended up with Reform when I voted for the opposite..I would be RAGING right now.
