The unions were writing to The Green Party leadership last year because their politicians voted against Labours Employment Rights Bill. To now act as if they are the party of unions 🤔

Ed Miliband gets relentless bile from the right for his ‘ideological’ commitment to clean, cheap renewable energy - just as Nye Bevan once did for creating the NHS. Yet on March 25 97.7 % of our electricity was from renewables. A revolution is unfolding. observer.co.uk/news/columnist…

@GavinBarwell Many of us are well aware of her flaws and are mortified she represents us. I count myself in this demographic.

The people of Fareham & Waterlooville might want to reflect whether they are well served by an MP who doesn't understand the difference between climate and weather (or even worse, does understand but thinks her constituents are so stupid they won't get the distinction)
Suella Braverman@SuellaBraverman

Global warming?!? Just over a week to go until Easter and we need to get our big coats back out! I wouldn’t mind a bit more global warming to be honest, right now.

In April, energy prices will come *down* £117 a year and minimum wage will go *up* £950 a year. Making someone on minimum wage £1067 a year better off. This Labour govt, like all govt’s, has made mistakes but not doing enough to tackle the cost of living isn’t one of them.

Farage has announced his Shadow Cabinet, with no Health Secretary. Presumably because if he becomes Prime Minister, there’ll be no NHS.

Reform want to: - cut the minimum wage that Labour introduced and raised - end the NHS that Labour created - cut back workers rights that Labour have delivered Reform has said the working class have had it too good for too long. Reform will make people poorer.
LBC@LBC

'So you're looking at cutting minimum wage?' 'We've got to look at all of it.' Reform will consider cutting the minimum wage for younger workers, @TiceRichard says. @BenKentish

I can't help but feel - given how Starmer hasn't broken the law like Johnson or tanked the economy like Truss - how much this reflects, in part, the extent the UK right-wing media still holds sway over British opinion. Sure, he's an unremarkable PM, but the worst? Really?

Tonight, Labour MPs voted to scrap the two child limit – a move that puts us on course to drive the biggest reduction of child poverty in a single Parliament. The Tories and Reform voted against it. Don’t let anyone tell you voting Labour doesn’t make a difference 🌹

Farage and Polanski are cut from the same cloth: loud, grievance-fuelled populists who thrive on protest. Manchester is a proud, progressive city which has seen heavy investment from Labour. I hope Gorton & Denton recognise this.
Oliver Ryan MP@OliverRyanUK

Interesting point not being raised with him by the media: if the Greens really thought they could win in Gorton & Denton, why isn't Zack Polanski their candidate? Answer: because they can't win, and this isn't about winning for them, its about denting Labour to let Reform in.

Reform finished fourth in Suella Braverman's Fareham and Waterlooville seat at the last General Election. If i was a constituent in Fareham and ended up with Reform when I voted for the opposite..I would be RAGING right now. This is not democracy.

Proper LOLs at Suella Braverman defecting to Reform... The party that’s spent years attacking the Home Office has just welcomed the person who actually ran the Home Office. Brilliant work lads.

“People didn’t used to talk like this, constantly implying they were far too good or well-feathered for this crap, and only here as a favour to the little people. It’s such an eye-catching reframing of public service for the hyper-individualised age…” theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Zahawi was sacked for 5 million tax evasion. So, will Reform hound him out like they did Angela Rayner? After all, her error was tiny in comparison.

Well spotted by someone on Bluesky on the date. In his emails to Epstein in mid November 2018 Bannon claims to have met up with Rees Mogg, Farage and Boris Johnson to keep Brexit on track and defeat Theresa May. Farage denies this…. And yet…. bylinetimes.com/2025/11/19/din…
