Thank you all very much for your continuous support and companionship throughout our journey with Aether Gazer.
By now, many of you may have seen the recent announcement from the CN server regarding the end of future updates. We know this has raised a lot of questions and concerns among our global players, and we completely understand the worry, the unease, and the reluctance you might be feeling right now. We've spent a great deal of time discussing what comes next for the global version. While we're still putting together the full details, we wanted to share what's already been decided—so you're not left in the dark any longer than necessary.
The current plan for the global version's subsequent updates is as follows:
1. Future Version Update Plan
Please rest assured that we will continue updating the global version of Aether Gazer as planned, all the way until it catches up with the latest CN server version. That means you'll still get to experience the full story, meet new characters, and enjoy all the content that's yet to come.
After that, following the V5.2 update (which will be released on December 1,2026), the global version will stop receiving new version updates. However, this does not mean the game is shutting down. You'll still be able to log in and play.
Going forward, we will continue operating the game servers in the form of a "Companion Server."
2. About the Companion Server
We have received much feedback from Admins regarding the "Companion Server" or ways to preserve the game experience long-term. Whether you want to keep logging in, revisit old stories, spend more time with your favorite Modifiers, or simply preserve this journey in some form—we have read and recorded every piece of your feedback. We sincerely thank you for your understanding and heartfelt suggestions after learning about the CN project's future plans.
It has now been confirmed that the global version will launch a Companion Server after ceasing updates, with service planned to continue until September 2031.
Around March 2031, we will reassess and determine the next steps for server continuation. Potential measures include, but are not limited to: Extending server operation time, or even converting the game into a free standalone offline client.
Specific details regarding the Companion Server's opening date, access channels, and other important notes will be announced in a future official announcement. It is our hope that this arrangement will serve as a lasting tribute to the journey you and the Modifiers have shared together, and that it will, in some small way, honor your wish to continue being part of this world.
3. Update Pace Adjustment
After evaluating our overall operations and content schedule, we've decided to make some adjustments to the update pace of the global version moving forward.
Starting from V4.7 (August 4, 2026). Some version cycles will be slightly shorter than before.
If any event rewards are affected by this change, we'll compensate you through in-game mail in subsequent updates. Specific compensation and timing will be announced in a later official announcement.
4. Refund Processing
Regarding refund concerns expressed by many of you, we will announce a more detailed refund policy at a later date.
For any unused paid currency that meets the refund criteria after updates stop, we'll process refunds in accordance with local laws, platform policies, payment provider requirements, and actual operational arrangements.
Specific details regarding what items are eligible, how to apply, when to apply, and other important notes will be announced in a subsequent official announcement.
In the meantime, we kindly ask you to plan your purchases and in-game resource usage thoughtfully and stay tuned for official updates.

For the team, this journey has been something special. Watching the story grow, the characters evolve, and this community come together—it's meant more than words can say. We know this news is bittersweet, and we don't take your feelings lightly. We'll continue to handle every remaining step—updates, compensation, refunds, and beyond—with the care and seriousness you deserve.
Should there be any changes to schedules, content, refund policies, or operational arrangements, we will notify you in advance through official channels.
