@mxscottkernest Looking at the google responses, Montana is pretty fucked off where it comes to SUD treatment. But at the state COC/CMHC level, it has to be *somebody's* job to oversee even whats not happening.

Oof... my paper for this class will be me having to interview someone who works at a local agency that deals with addiction. That may be very difficult for me in such a rural area. I may have to see i I can find someone with Tribal Health...

@mxscottkernest I think most providers would be willing to help with somebody's MSW paper. Some agency locally *has* to be doing the screens to establish medical necessity for in patient placement for medicaid.

@stellarjack The big problem will be there is no guarantee anyone will agree to be interviewed. Not a lot of choice. So if no one agrees at the few places there are... doh!

@mxscottkernest Montana Healthcare Foundation and Montana Primary Care Association were the agencies tasked with increasing access to Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral per Montanas DPHHS strategic plan. They might be able to tell you the closest screening and referral agencies.

Depends on the definition of local, too. If it includes 60 miles away, I at least have Kalispell and Missoula to look at... they are 60 miles north and south of me. But if that is not local enough... there just isn't a lot on the res.
