The Treasury is hiding KSh 150.7 BILLION in a secret "Sovereign Bond Proceeds Account", OUTSIDE the Consolidated Fund.
This is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
No parliamentary oversight. No Auditor General. No Controller of Budget.
We demand: Name the bank. Open the books. Freeze the account.
@ChampionsLeague I truly enjoyed watching the game as a football fan.
However, conceding 4 or more goals at this level is crazy. The balance between attacking and defending is important.
The winner between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid will win this seasons @ChampionsLeague
BRIEF ON TODAY’S PROCEEDINGS IN THE ODIOUS DEBT PETITION AT MILIMANI HIGH COURT
This morning, the Milimani High Court did not hear the substantive Odious Debt Petition. Instead, the matter was adjourned to allow the Court to address multiple interlocutory applications seeking either to dismiss the petition unheard or to strike out some parties from the suit.
The key applications before the Court are as follows:
1) The Attorney General argues that, because the Government has directed the Auditor‑General to conduct a special audit of Kenya’s huge odious debt stock, the petition is premature and the Court lacks jurisdiction to entertain it at this stage. The AG therefore contends that the Court should await the outcome of that audit. The National Assembly supports the AG’s position.
2) The @IMFNews seeks to exit the case, invoking immunity under a treaty it signed with Kenya in 1963, which grants it absolute immunity before Kenyan courts.
3) The Former Auditor General Edward Ouk and the former Controller of Budget Agnes Odhiambo claim personal immunity, asserting that they acted in good faith during their tenure and therefore cannot be held accountable for any shortcomings.
4) The Current Auditor General FCPA Nancy Gathungu, CBS, and the current Controller of Budget Dr. Margaret Nyakang’o maintain that they cannot be sued in their personal capacities; only their respective independent constitutional offices may be parties to the suit.
Although the petitioners had fully responded to all the applications and were ready to proceed, the @IMFAfrica and other parties stated that they were not ready and requested seven days to respond to the petitioners’ rebuttals of their applications.
The Court then directed that all parties wishing to file any responses (replying affidavits and/or submissions) do so within seven days of today. The Court will thereafter peruse the documents and render its ruling on the applications on 25th June 2026.
To fast‑track the matter, the Court will deliver its ruling on the applications without orally hearing the parties. There will be no highlighting of submissions.
If any of the parties are struck out, they will be dropped from the case, and it may become necessary to amend the petition before it is heard on the merits.
Finally, if the AG’s application to strike out the case unheard is dismissed, the petition will proceed to be heard and determined on the merits. If the application succeeds, the matter will end there.
The petitioners are fully prepared and are doing everything possible to succeed in this epic battle against Kenya’s huge odious debt stock. Kenyan taxpayers deserve accountability and fiscal justice. We shall not relent. The petitioners will not be the first to blink. #ReKe#DeniBandia#OdiousDebtKenya

HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE 🫨
Sabastian Sawe becomes the first person ever to break the 2-hour barrier in official race conditions, storming to a historic 1:59:30‼️
@KejelchaYomif, on his marathon debut, also breaks 2 hours with a stunning 1:59:41 and @jacobkiplimo2 clocks 2:00:28, also faster than the previous world record 😤
Ousted FKF President Hussein Mohammed will head to court on Monday to challenge his removal, with expectations he will secure temporary orders.
What’s most shocking, however, is how he lost the support of 9 out of 12 voting NEC members.
BREAKING
FKF NEC members have held a meeting and resolved that president Hussein Mohammed, NEC member Abdallah Yusuf, and Acting CEO Dennis Gicheru step aside in the wake of the reported CHAN 42 million insurance scandal.
VP McDonald Mariga has been proposed to take over.
The Next Mega Scandal ni hii East West Fashions... Why are national team kits branded with a supplier name, yet @Football_Kenya is the one marketing them?
What exactly does FKF gain in return?
Why not partner with an established kit manufacturer- the kind of deals that bring: Revenue sharing, Global visibility, Quality assurance & Replica sales income?
Instead… a supplier with no clear manufacturing track record?

MANCHESTER CITY HAVE COMPLETED THE COMEBACK! THEY NOW TOP THE LEAGUE OVER ARSENAL WITH FIVE MATCHWEEKS TO PLAY 🤯
ARSENAL HAD A NINE POINT LEAD JUST 12 DAYS AGO. HOW ⁉️
Why Hussein Mohammed Tried — And Failed — To Kill @StandardKenya’s CHAN Insurance Corruption Story
📀Sh42M in public tournament funds wired to an unlicensed ghost broker — Riskwell Insurance Brokers Ltd — on the very opening day of CHAN, August 4, 2025
📀 Riskwell was only 40 days old when it secured the insurance contract — incorporated June 25, 2025, with zero regulatory standing
📀 The @ira_kenya confirmed in writing it had never licensed Riskwell for 2025 or any prior year — making the payment for insurance brokerage a criminal facilitation under the Insurance Act
📀 Competitive bidding was deliberately bypassed — three established insurers (Takaful, Old Mutual, Britam) had submitted valid bids, with Britam’s lowest bid at Sh29.1M — Sh13M cheaper than what Riskwell was paid
📀 Riskwell had no VAT obligation, filed no @KRACorporate returns, recorded zero purchases or sales — a textbook ghost company
📀 One of Riskwell’s three directors is linked to a senior FKF official — a direct conflict of interest Hussein cannot explain away
📀 The @EcobankKenya payment advice — timestamped 3:08PM, August 4 — bears Hussein’s own email address as the account holder’s contact, placing him at the centre of the transaction
📀 @husseinmoha sent four emissaries to The Standard’s newsroom in a desperate bid to stop publication — a move that only confirmed the story’s potency
📀 Rather than address the scandal, Hussein hid in Uganda — claiming he could not respond until he returned
📀 The @EACCKenya had already published a damning Q1 2024 report recommending prosecution of former FKF President @Nmwendwa for the same pattern of financial misconduct — Hussein walked straight into the same fire
📀 Whistleblower Ustadh Okello Kimathi had already formally filed the full dossier with the EACC alongside a public call for Hussein to step aside — the story was already in official hands before it hit the front page
📀 Hussein staying in office now actively obstructs investigations and erodes public trust — the cover-up has become bigger than the crime @CAF_Media@caf_online_AR@fifacom_ar@FIFAcom@fifamedia
Most people are surprised when they hear I went from professional football to green chemistry.
But to me, it was a natural transition. ⚽️👨🏽🔬
Growing up in the south of France, I was surrounded by nature and the sea from an early age. As my football career progressed, so did my awareness of global warming and the impact that different industries have on the environment and on our health.
The products most of us use every day, from shampoos to cleaning products to paints, are still built on fossil-based ingredients. Changing that became my mission.🌱
In 2013, I co-founded GFBiochemicals to make everyday products safer and more sustainable using plant-based ingredients.
Football prepared me for this journey more than I expected the discipline, the resilience, and what it truly means to be part of a team. But there is an important shift: as a player, you’re judged on your own performance. As a founder & CEO, your role is to lead and inspire your team, and to share success together.
I spoke with Harvard Business Review France about my journey: the transition from international footballer to Green Chemistry entrepreneur, the challenge of building in a sector I came to as an outsider.

Kenya’s imported cars face total taxes of about 70%–100% of their value, pushing prices higher.
Here is the explanation of how the taxes are structured.

@EricNjiiru Polite reminder both Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid lost to Arsenal convincingly earlier this season.
Arsenal won all their group matches with the highest no of goals scored and least conceeded. Talk about perfection 💯
