Tajikistan, with WHO support, held focus group discussions with doctors, nurses and patients with complex chronic conditions. These discussions aim to enhance the PHC model in the country, guided by a new Roadmap for developing an effective Services Benefit Package.

Here’s how PHC delivers: 1) embedded in communities, it fosters ongoing well-being and healthy lifestyles; 2) it provides 85% of curative services, thanks to health workers, tools and facilities; 3) it’s the eyes and ears of the health system for emergency preparedness and response. #UNGA

Perhaps @richardhorton1’s key is here: “Why are we not sharing these national experiences more systematically for others to learn from?” Academics assume answers come from evidence. Practitioners know, by lived experience, that answers come from practice.
