When we hear about quadcopter/drone attacks, people tend to assume the killing is automated - a dystopian nightmare in its own right. But an Israeli drone operator saw a child in a wheel chair outside a hospital and opened fire. The act of pulling the trigger was a human one.

🚨 Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, tells Drop Site News that a new drone strike on the hospital has resulted in 12 injuries, including several medical staff members, and the killing of 16-year-old Mahmoud Abu Al-Eish. The child, in a wheelchair and seeking medical help from his sister, a nurse at the hospital, was struck as he entered the X-ray department. An hour earlier, the surrounding area was also targeted, killing a young man in his thirties. Dr. Safiya says these attacks have become a tragic “daily occurrence” at the hospital. One staff member is in critical condition and undergoing surgery.
