Watching right wing influencers use the SPLC indictment as proof that every instance of racism or violence is fake, is similar to watching a car crash in slow motion. You can almost feel the weight of the impact, as trust in our institutions, and the common understanding between people gets destroyed. If everything is fake, nothing matters. If nothing matters, then what comes next?
