Thank you. I agree lack of definitive proof that conditions are caused by radiation as opposed to nature is a problem. However, I feel the approach should be similar to the burden of proof that operates in civil cases, that of the ‘balance of probability’. The number of those affected point to the conditions ‘probably’ being caused by radiation.

For reasons which I susoect is the exact reason why you do these, it made me think about Marie Curie, the end of war in Japan, and Chernobyl. I didn’t the oh-so-typical shortcut of research and hit Google Gemini web interface (Python parsed, FYI). Right, I am relying on you to remember I am pro activism towards restitution and closure with ongoing respect and all necessary support of the veterans and descendants. I hope the impressions made in the past by me that you have read assure you of my honourable intentions. Why all the pussyfooting and blowing smoke up the tail of the cause? —Well, it is because this evening’s research diversion has something to say. I urge two firm anchor points to have in your mind as you read this, if you care to do so. 1. How you feel about the state of old, the scientists, the top brass, today’s establishment, I would not dare to put an earthquake through any of that. 2. I have now accepted, and you were likely light years ahead oof me over what Susie Boniface said about scientific explanations, selection of experimentee cohorts and all the rest as to whether we have to be very cautious that they could well have been compromised in regards for whom we’re paying the bills and what might just let things drift away until the poor sods selected and duped had all croaked. Please hang on to this tightly, as it is the pastoral care of a community like this that I think my research might offer to save, especially descendants, from yet another form of horror, that if mental illness from feeling so desperate and that the political classes are heartless. Possibly, they are being both holistic, and very aware in the ravine between the purist truth and how perspectives can differ over the passage of time, and when dealing with specific cases, which scientist, politicians and adjudicators all prefer to not do so. I did not ask ai many questions, but I gave it a hard time in the ones that I did ask. My conclusion is that harm happened, it was intentional in the case of the testing. The survivors of the testing had horrendous lives, but of the hundreds of thousands of children and grandchildren from the 40,000+ cohort, those who have genetic defects onward may genuinely confuse modern science as to how the science currently says that foetuses will scientifically perpetuate with the long term genetic heritage. That also, where genetic defects do occur, that for the majority of descendants, this will arise from the same blips that nature can do anyway. The scientists being unable to say whether or not this is the case unless all defect incidences are counted and compared to either non-exposed cohorts or to re-run similar nuclear testing… yes, I just said ‘yikes’ too. Over my life, I’ve come across many people who are pigeon-hollers with binary outcomes describing their world. I sometimes do that too, but tend to play a little of the fence sitting or shades of grey ability to modify earlier conclusions. It works for me, I hate being wrong more than I like being right, I suppose. The government cannot work out who is due a better future or a pathway engineered for them because of what happened. That has to be part of the truth because the science falls short. They cannot in full conscience state that you and your son are outliers to the testing, or outliers from life. You and I know that our inner eye tells us all we need to know. Conditions with no names, anecdotal Japan and Ukraine tales that draw away from the peer-reviewed and professionally accepted science (to remind, am talking about inherited genetic disorder/s. I would not have replied but for the fact that I believe that with all the cover-up proof, the finite cases such as yours, the correct moralistic way forward is to cup your situation and remediate. Senior Labour figures in opposition pledged justice for the nuclear test veterans, but those still alive are still waiting for a proper compensation scheme as implemented in other countries.

We now have that document and the evidence to show that it is true. 36 years later, the truth is emerging because of the Merlin files. Shame on the UK Government for covering it up.
