Rupert Lowe says there will be no deal with Reform UK, a party he believes has been openly hostile to him. That raises a wider point: why would anyone expect the Conservative Party to also pursue cooperation with Reform UK, a party that frequently positions itself as its political opponent? And equally, most Conservative members are unlikely to support any formal arrangement or coalition with Rupert Lowe either. Politics is about clear choices — not unstable alliances.
