I was paired today with a Father-Son duo, both expressed how disappointed they were with Zach Johnson’s US Ryder Cup selections. No DJ, Bryson, or Captain America? They said they were unsure if they’d be tuning in. PGAT politics are hurting the fan experience, it’s a fact.

I haven't met a single golf fan who is looking forward to watching the Ryder Cup this year. It's going to be a rough season for golf TV ratings without more LIV golfers included in the big picture.

Cameron Young and Keegan Bradley were both rumored to be negotiating deals with LIV, and now they were both snubbed from the US Ryder Cup team. I’m hearing this isn’t a coincidence and team golf could be in both of their futures.

The last time team USA won a Ryder Cup in Europe, the reigning men’s major champions were Greg Norman, Lee Janzen, Paul Azinger and Bernhard Langer. Jurassic Park had just been released, Manchester United won the first ever Premier League title and the European Union was created.

It’s obvious what Zach Johnson is doing. He picked Brooks Koepka as the token LIV golfer to shield off criticism. Leaving Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, and Talor Gooch off the US Ryder Cup Team is an abomination.

Paul McGinley: “I think one of the real benefits and what we have seen with LIV is that it’s become more global, than US-centric, which is what the game was heading towards with the PGA Tour. So, that’s a positive with what Saudi and PIF and LIV have done in bringing the game a lot more global.” Well said Paul and that’s exactly why the European Tour should have partnered with them in the first place.
