BRAWL ERUPTS AT EPSOM DERBY AS PUNTERS THROW PUNCHES IN BLOODY FIGHT A violent fight broke out during the final race at Epsom Racecourse on Saturday 6 June 2026 with two men exchanging punches inside the main grandstand in front of horrified spectators. The brawl lasted several minutes as staff and bystanders tried to separate them one man had his white shirt ripped off fell to the ground then got up and continued throwing punches. Another racegoer was knocked over amid the chaos with one man left bloodied on his face and shirt while a second person was taken away by ambulance. Surrey Police arrested six people on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and affray they have since been released on conditional bail pending further investigation. Epsom Downs Racecourse confirmed security teams and police responded quickly stating this sort of behaviour has no place at the event.
