The truth simply stands by silently and there is no dividing it into parts that are easier to ingest, you will either swallow it or choke.

@oldluth @gaitanalyst You definitely miss the whole point here. Women don't need a man to give us the life daddy gave us. We can provide that life for ourselves. If men are struggling to find wives then they should perhaps consider treating women as equals & offering more than just 'I have a job'

They're not unrelated if they marry your daughter, which is the whole point. By not investing in the sons of other men (indeed, most often disparaging them and handing opportunities to women instead of men) girl-dads create a self-fulfilling prophesy where "no man is good enough for my little girl." If you want a shaded lawn, you help your neighbors plant trees. If you want your daughters to marry and be fruitful, you invest in the young men in your community and deliberately avoid raising your girls into high-maintenance women. Girl-dads want to be the only man in baby girl's life so much they're willing to end their bloodline over it. You all deserve your fate.
Gait Analyst@gaitanalyst

Behind all this there's an appeal for fathers to have solidarity with unrelated young men rather than their own daughters and it's doomed. It won't work.

@Pat_Stedman Women should hopefully relate more to their mother than their father. They should also see how to relate to men in a feminine way in how their mother relates to their father.

@Pat_Stedman This might also explain women friendzoning men because they relate to their dad in a way they should be relating to their mom, but mom is kinda acting as the male head in the household. So the girl has no feminine role model.

Pat Stedman | Dating & Relationship Coach for Men
Can't find a more accurate caricature of the archetype. Girl dads overly bond to their daughters because of their wives' emotional and sexual neglect. Their daughters earn their fathers' approval through academic and career success, and struggle to maintain relationships because they have been told their whole life no man is ever good enough for them. Although it seems strange, these dads will turn a blind eye to their daughter's promiscuity because a one night stand or fling doesn't affect their primary bond with her. Some even tacitly cheer her on as she constantly shifts her roster of men, pointing out their inadequacy and encouraging her "not to settle." This perversion, which is a form of incest, was historically more common with mothers and their sons - the devouring mother, which produced both mommas boys and seducers. But the weakness of men under feminism is so pervasive that this type of woman has now become endemic since the boomer generation. No wonder so many modern women are so entitled - their fathers raised them to act this way.

Student loan debt makes young women less desirable for marriage. So does being a career woman, lacking in cooking and other homemaking skills, being on birth control, not virgins, not wanting children… In other words, being a feminist. Try being a feminine, godly woman instead!

Abt 20 yrs ago, I interviewed Camille Paglia. Though atheist, she griped abt student religious illiteracy. Sd she had to take a lot of time in art history class to explain basic Bible stories so college kids cd understand the art. Sd only her black students knew the Bible.
Matthew Schmitz@matthewschmitz

On elite campuses, many students don’t know what the Ten Commandments are, or the difference between the Old and New testaments. Religious illiteracy is hurting higher ed, Princeton professor Greg Conti warns: washingtonpost.com/opinions/2026/…

Attraction Matriarch @TheXMatriarch
Women need to stop acting like sexual rejection inside marriage is some harmless inconvenience a good man should just silently absorb forever. It breaks his spirit, damages the bond, and teaches him that the deepest part of him is unwelcome in his own home. That is not a small issue. That is marital negligence.

@thisisfoster Yeah it’s interesting to look at this in terms of a clean up on the part of organizations that peddled his books for years without concern now suddenly erasing that content from their shelves. I think about this when I buy bad books for archive purposes.

Sam Alberry is a sophisticated guy. He kept refining his position on “gay celibacy/orientation” until he had subtly redefined the Reformed understanding of concupiscence in a way that gave institutions and squishes plausible deniability. In a chapter from the 2024 book Ruined Sinners to Reclaim, Wedgeworth does a good job dissecting the differences between Allberry’s view and the historic one. Is it technically Side B? No, it isn’t. Alberry got wise and realized that position wasn’t tenable if you wanted institutional acceptance and respectability. Now many of those same institutions are deleting him like he never existed. And the squishes are circling the wagons because, in many ways, they aren’t that different from Alberry in their willingness to play the game for institutional acceptance, even if they formally hold to the Reformed view of concupiscence. Though I’ve mellowed with age, it’s not because I want to be found acceptable by the sort of people who will delete you overnight after years of partnership.

Preston is a piece of work. He soft pedaled polyamory as well. Believe it or not, Preston Sprinkle declared it the “Pastors’ Next Sexual Frontier.” No, he did not come out in favor of polyamory. But he did not roundly denounce it either. It is easy to see how he would rationalize a celibate polyamory attraction. After all, what others did for homosexuality, Sprinkle does with polyamory in a 2020 essay. He wants to tease out something commendable in the dustbin of sexual deviancy. "Another important pastoral step is to distinguish elements of polyamory that are in violation of God’s will from elements that are simply culturally unfamiliar to us."

Jared Moore@jaredhmoore

Do you want Preston Sprinkle around your beautiful daughter? He writes, “The man details the physical beauty of the woman beginning with her head (Song of Solomon 4:1-3) and slowly moving downward. He expounds upon her eyes, hair, teeth, lips, mouth, temples and neck, concluding with her breasts, which he says, ‘are like two fawns, like twin fawns of a gazelle that browse among the lilies’ (4:5; cf. 7:3). The Bible condemns lust and having sex outside of a male/female marriage. But as seen here and throughout the Song, there’s nothing wrong with noticing, enjoying or even being enamored by the physical beauty of another person" (Upside-Down Kingdom Bible, 841). Call me crazy, but if you're enamored by a woman's breasts you're not married to, you're lusting.

Truly wild to reread these sermon excerpts. Spurgeon: v25: “I think it is no stretch of the imagination to believe that as this world is only one speck in the creation of God, there may be millions of other races in the countless worlds around us.” v45: “It may be true that all those majestic orbs that stud the midnight sky are worlds filled with intelligent beings. And it is much more easy to believe that they are than that they are not, for, surely, God has not built all those magnificent mansions and left them untenanted!” v46: “I cannot tell you how many races of intelligent beings there are beside the hierarchy of angels, but it is not at all improbable that there are as many worlds as there are grains of sand upon the seashore—and perhaps every one of these teems with inhabitants more than our earth does.” v55: “It may be that every starry world teems with myriads of intelligent inhabitants—it is much more likely that it should be so than that it should not be so, seeing that God is not in the habit of creating anything in vain.”

1. The BCO is the battlefield in a denomination where some teaching elders treat the plain meaning of words as an obstacle to be managed and lawfare has become a standard tactic. 2. The flood of overtures functioned as cover for TE Cassidy’s push for female officers.
Charles Scott Williams@cswilliams63

I am increasingly beginning to see that the @PCA is quickly becoming much more litigious and legalistic. We now have 89 Overtures (the previous high in the past 10 years was last year was 49). And with a significant uptick in double the cases before the SJC (highest court in the PCA) than in previous years.

Red and blue button pushers: who's smarter? In a mostly-subscriber sample who took a brief verbal IQ test, the answer is... Blue pushers! If the whole population has an IQ of 100 with an SD of 15, their mean IQ would be 101.9, versus 97.0 for reds.
