The thing most people misunderstand is that God doesn’t just have one chosen people who go to heaven, and everybody else goes to hell.
There’s the entire group of all people who trust in God‘s redeemer Jesus Christ for salvation from Adam and Eve all the way to the last person born on this earth. All of those people avoid hell and get to spend eternity with God.
But then there are subdivisions within that group. There are the church age believers from Pentecost to the rapture, who are the bride of Christ, which does not apply to Elijah or David or Abel.
And then there is the nation of Israel, which is God‘s chosen people as a whole, but those members of Israel, who reject the Messiah are not in that big group I mentioned at the beginning. The promises to Israel will be fulfilled to those who are Israelites, who also trust in Christ.
The rest of the group is made up of people who don’t belong in either group because they were born before or after the church age and are not Jewish such as Noah, Melchizedek, and any other gentile believers in Christ, who meet thae criteria.
