@PierrePoilievre Mark Carney won a majority thanks to the parade of conservative floor crossers, a direct reflection of your MPs’ obvious lack of confidence in your impotent leadership. The Conservative Party will no doubt go on to do a lot of things, but your days as party leader are numbered.

The Carney Liberals did not win a majority government through a general election or today's by-elections. Instead, it was won through backroom deals with politicians who betrayed the people who voted for them. While the Prime Minister spent the year on this cynical power grab, he has doubled the deficit, and given Canada the worst grocery prices and housing costs in the G7. Liberals expect Canadians to give up, get complacent and go away, so Carney can have total power without any accountability. That will not happen. Our country and its people are worth fighting for. We will continue to fight for people to afford homes, food and fuel. We will continue to fight for safety in our streets. We will continue to fight for our resource workers and soldiers. I will continue to lead that fight every day and in every way in Parliament, across the country and in the next election, when Canadians will reclaim the country we know and love.

Mark Carney is seizing a costly Liberal majority that voters denied him, and doing so through backroom deals. In January, MP Gladu said that floor crossers should face voters in a byelection to give voters the final say. I could not agree more. She should do so. The people in her community voted for our Conservative vision of a Canada that is affordable, safe, and strong at home, not for the costly Liberal government she has now joined. She should honour her word and let voters decide.

I started out on this planet 73 years ago today. Blessed with a wonderful wife of 42 years, an amazing daughter who has given us 2 beautiful little girls. Great family & friends. Lost folks along the way. But every day is something to cherish. Don’t waste it. Enjoy & embrace it.

I’m not being at all ironic when I say that there is a better argument for invading and overthrowing the Canadian regime than there is for invading and overthrowing anyone else. This is a country committing unspeakable atrocities right next door.
