Politically middle ground and open minded. No idea why lefties are generally nasty from the off. Tough times need family, friends and a garden. No DMs

@stigs_mum @PursueOptimism @AvonandsomerRob No, i didn't.
You seem to not understand the wording of the law regarding proxy purchases nor the difference between policy and law.
You could literally look on google and see that you are incorrect in less than 1 minute.
But you won't.
Enjoy your hair wash.

Whilst in the Co Op, a woman in front of me with two teenage girls was buying a couple of bottles of those blue alcopop drinks and a bottle of wine.
To her amazement, the assistant asked to ID her KID'S ages.
She lost her cool and asked why.
"You might be buying alcohol by proxy for your children", she responded.
She demanded to see the store manager, who informed her he was backing his staff member, as the law permits checking the ages of children if the accompanying adult is purchasing alcohol.
Has anyone ever seen or heard of this happening?

@DavidosTheGreat @PursueOptimism @AvonandsomerRob Retail staff are trained to look for suspicious activity, such as underage individuals handing cash to an adult outside the store. Shops generally operate a 'Think 25' policy and must refuse the sale if they suspect a proxy purchase is taking place.

@aberdeenuni Hello! Will you also investigate Herbert sharing an image of guns and saying “this one’s for @Glinner and @HJoyceGender “?
This is clearly intended to be a threat

@DavidosTheGreat @PursueOptimism @AvonandsomerRob In the UK, it is a criminal offence for an adult to buy or attempt to buy alcohol on behalf of anyone under 18. This is known as a proxy purchase. Offenders face an on-the-spot fine, or up to an unlimited fine and potential prison sentence if taken to court. Licensing Act 2003.

@stigs_mum @PursueOptimism @AvonandsomerRob Lmao you are so confidently and completely wrong.

A clear cut case of bringing the university into disrepute.
University of Aberdeen@aberdeenuni
The University is aware of social media posts made by a member of staff regarding the death of Ann Widdecombe and is reviewing this as a matter of priority. The comments that have been shared are entirely the individual’s own and do not represent the views of the University of Aberdeen. Complaints into any member of staff are handled confidentially through our established processes.

This is sick making. Lawyer Imran Khan, who represented Baroness Doreen Lawrence, mother of murdered Stephen, offered to drop her phone hacking claim in return for £650K just days before the trial went ahead.
In return for the cash Khan, who had been her lawyer since Stephen’s murder in 1993, said she would make a statement thanking the Daily Mail’s former crime editor Stephen Wright and former editor Paul Dacre for their decades long campaign for the justice.
The Sunday Times reports that the Mail told them to get stuffed and in a matter of days Lawrence was in the High Court saying the following;
“ I’ve been played ( by Wright). I spoke to him as a friend….I spoke to him as a friend….I trusted him. I don’t believe could do that… especially when you’re grieving.”
Lawrence, Prince Harry and Elton John lost their cases leaving a £50milllion costs bill to be paid.
Khan refused to comment on the case.
I presume he ran the offer by his client before suggesting it to the Mail’s lawyers.
Like to hear from Baroness Lawrence who emerges from all this with a much tarnished reputation.

I highlighted some of the @bluesky users who were celebrating Ann Widdecombe’s murder
In response Bluesky have terminated my account
When someone shows you who they are, believe them - this is not the ‘right side of history’
Bluesky is a cesspit of truly awful people

Yo @metpoliceuk how come you arrest people for saying men can’t become women but do nothing when people celebrate femicide?
