When I was a kid three of my fave songs were Gordon Lightfoot's Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald, Fairport Convention's Tam Lin and The Temptations' Papa Was A Rolling Stone because listening to them was like being told a story. Which are your favourite short-story songs?

@pagep195 The album list is pretty damn good- the Dire Straits would strike as an outlier but I do remember people my age raving about it at the time. No issue for me- it’s all a matter of opinion.
