We are about to release our server code under GPLv3. You will be able to self-host your own Stingle server and manage your own storage.

Especially look to Stingle as Google Photos kills unlimited free storage next month. Do not pay Google when you could be paying someone else for a better product.

You know what rocks? Small and medium sized ethical businesses based around open source. Specifically cloud services like @EteSyncHQ, @ProtonMail and @StinglePhotos. I just signed up for EteSync. Here's why I'm really happy with it right off the bat:
