@mustaphadance @IanMurrayMP Yes then they would have been able to come over to us so we could acclaim the brilliant season. Their wives parents and children would also have known they were safe. Yesterday some were hysterical not knowing what had happened
English

@IanMurrayMP Genuine question…old you have wanted the distraught Hearts players made to come back out onto the cleared pitch to play for another 30 seconds or so?
English

So, we have a new SPFL rule. I wonder what would have happened had Motherwell fans invaded the pitch at 2-2 on Wednesday night on 95 mins (5 mins injury time was declared). Would the ref have called it????? (Rhetorical question).

🚨 The SPFL have released a statement condemning the scenes after Celtic’s title win, while also confirming that the match had ended and not been abandoned. More ⤵️
English

@AlanG0210 @IanMurrayMP After the final whistle not when game still in progress then so completely different scenario
English

@IanMurrayMP It was ended for safety reasons. The result should stand. Pitch invasions happen all over the country. There was one at Stenhousemuir after the final whistle.
English

@ShwartzDelmore @ryanmcnairn Why from next season why not take action on yesterdays incursions?
English

@ryanmcnairn The behaviour of our fans yesterday in invading the pitch was indefensible. I don't think there were any assaults on the Hearts players but it must have been intimidating.
From 26/27 any incursion from a stand should result in the closure of that stand.
English

@TheTweetofShaun @Yossariandantes @Masterton9 Course we sold out
We can only sell the number seats Celtic give us
It never dropped below the highest ever loyalty threshold of 144, pretty much have to have gone to every home away and Europe over the last 3 seasons to get enough points
English

@moraigcampbell @Masterton9 Good
Stay away
We can fill stadium without the undesirables
English

@Masterton9 That's good we don't want back and we really shouldn't have gone there after Neil Lennon was attacked
English

@TheTweetofShaun @Yossariandantes @Masterton9 We could have sold it ten times over. Was sold out within minutes
We didn’t get out usual, allocation we only got 752 measly tickets
English

@Yossariandantes @Masterton9 They didn't sell out their allocation. For their biggest ever game.

English

@PaulMacca63 @tommyinglasgowx We had no players left that could play midfield holding role
Missing mcIntee Magnusson ague and Leonard from midfield and a half fit Devlin didn’t matter what O’Neill did. We were running on empty and Celtic deserved the win
English

@tommyinglasgowx O’Neill went to a 3-5-2 and out foxed the amateur McInnes
English

@BwanaMonty @itslegaltender @pieandbov Nope he reacted to Fotheringham being a dick which forced him to apologise for being a dick. Didn’t storm the dig out went to speak to the lapdogs boss who apologised for his behaviour. It’ll all come out on wash. Enjoy your celebrations could be last for a while
English

@stjambo @itslegaltender @pieandbov Short memory fella. Mind mcinnes doing it when Celtic scored at tynecastle?
Close but no cigar fella.
English

So on everything else that happened yesterday…..
I absolutely understand the elation and emotion about the third goal and even the way it was scored.
It was always going to spark bedlam and as a passionate football fan myself you can understand why some folk jumped on to the track as part of the celebrations, same as what happened at Motherwell during the week. It happens.
What shouldn’t happen though, with the game not even finished, is that a good number of those fans then went much, much further.
Invading all over the pitch, confronting and goading the Hearts players and making it impossible for the game to resume.
I think we can all agree it of course made zero difference to the outcome of the game, the whistle would have been blown as soon as Hearts kicked off again but you cannot have fans deciding when a game is over.
The Hearts players should not have been put in that position and it was a really sorry end to what was a tremendous game to finish an incredible title race.
The SPFL will I am sure take a very dim view of what happened, particularly if Don Robertson confirms that he had not blown the full time whistle.
More to come on this over the next few days I think.
English

@LennyBr64521062 @Opticsbhoy You do understand football is more than just data but the fact you call him Wank instead shank shows you’re not very grown up. Shankland has great build up play strength and captaining a team not to mention missed 2 months season. How many those players nominated for POTY… none
English

@Opticsbhoy @stjambo Weird that he would come at you with a LIE ... the guy from Motherwell (Maswanhise) who scored 17 in the league and tied in second were Nygren and WANKland with 16 ... so, he wasn't the best but he is still a loser!
I think Chermiti is better and will make the Huns a lot of money
English

@gIaikit @PaulCampbe45668 @pieandbov Presume you being sarcastic I’m meaning in a legal sense , players I’m sure were fine but their loved ones in away end beside me were distraught and had no control over what may have happened
English

@stjambo @PaulCampbe45668 @pieandbov Got me there Graham 👍
Sorry if our fans hurt any of your players feelings.
It's a disgrace.
English

@IndyIsNormal @pieandbov Never mind learn let’s punish those that allowed this line to be crossed. We had plenty police in front of us and we never going on pitch anyway. Stewarding & policing woeful. We were intimidated and assaulted after game. Been going there 48 years this is worst since early 80’s
English

@pieandbov Well said.
The passion, and the absolute bedlam that causes, in the Scottish game are precisely why we love it so much… we definitely don’t want sanitised football.
But there’s a line, and it was crossed yesterday. Let’s learn from it and make whatever changes we need to make.
English

@itslegaltender @BwanaMonty @pieandbov The running into the opposition dug out at the second then the third goal is crass and classless no wonder the fans follow suit and encroach field and misbehave
English

@BwanaMonty @pieandbov I think we can all see Celtic are bad winners. Classless.
English

@lubohenke1967 @pieandbov @CelticFC Wrong or this would imply only 56 ran on the field and everyone but everyone else in stadium was booing. Clearly made up number by yourself
English

@pieandbov Another thing to mention was 99.9% of the @CelticFC fans in the ground were booing the pitch invaders. Hopefully the volumes of evidence is used to identify what really went on and ban the transgressors.
English

@PaulCampbe45668 @pieandbov Any pictures of these assaults Paul?
English

@pieandbov What annoyed me most at the time was a) not being able to applaud the players for the effort they put in the season and b) concern over safety of our player I was right beside the wives girlfriend and parents and they were terrified. On leaving they were so upset as we herded out
English

@RatedRobson @WhiteGoodman72 I can confirm the families weee traumatised. I was sitting beside them and they had no clue what was , or could happen and their kids weee distraught too
English

@WhiteGoodman72 Hearts are the victims mate. Of heinous and hideous violence. Our thought are with them an their families at this traumatic time
English

@JohnCollinsCSC @bt58487500 Let’s not forget the coin that hit his chest so he went down clutching his face.
English

@bt58487500 There were actually 2 separate physical assaults on Neil Lennon at Tyne castle, one as as Hibs manager as well
English
