@craigcairns001 What about the Hearts bench attacking the Celtic bench?

It's a really bad look that the treatment of the Hearts players and staff is a footnote on this statement.
SPFL@spfl

SPFL Statement "Firstly, we send our congratulations to Celtic on winning the William Hill Premiership in the most exciting of circumstances and send our commiserations to everyone at Heart of Midlothian following an incredible campaign. “We would also like to thank the referee and his excellent team of match officials for their cool heads on such a dramatic day. Given the speculation about the conclusion of the game, we would like to make clear that, prior to awarding the trophy, we were informed by the match referee that the match had ended and had not been abandoned. "Yesterday’s match showed off the very best of the Scottish game and the drama and excitement that it is rightly famed for. The eyes of the world were on Glasgow and the climax of the William Hill Premiership, with millions of viewers watching the match on Sky Sports and across the globe. "However, we utterly condemn the scenes which saw a number of Celtic supporters encroach onto the field of play. We await the report of our match delegate regarding any specific incidents that took place but, regardless, supporters entering the field of play in any circumstances is wholly unacceptable and puts those participating and working at a match at risk. We note that entering the pitch in England and Wales has been a criminal offence since 1991. We urge anyone with information about any alleged criminal activity to contact Police Scotland."

@mustaphadance @IanMurrayMP Yes then they would have been able to come over to us so we could acclaim the brilliant season. Their wives parents and children would also have known they were safe. Yesterday some were hysterical not knowing what had happened

@IanMurrayMP Genuine question…old you have wanted the distraught Hearts players made to come back out onto the cleared pitch to play for another 30 seconds or so?

@IanMurrayMP It was ended for safety reasons. The result should stand. Pitch invasions happen all over the country. There was one at Stenhousemuir after the final whistle.

@ryanmcnairn The behaviour of our fans yesterday in invading the pitch was indefensible. I don't think there were any assaults on the Hearts players but it must have been intimidating. From 26/27 any incursion from a stand should result in the closure of that stand.

@TheTweetofShaun @Yossariandantes @Masterton9 Course we sold out We can only sell the number seats Celtic give us It never dropped below the highest ever loyalty threshold of 144, pretty much have to have gone to every home away and Europe over the last 3 seasons to get enough points

There isn’t a great deal of substance to the complaints from huns, Hearts fans and journalists about Celtic’s title win. It WAS a penalty vs Motherwell. We beat Hearts fair and square yesterday. They’re just absolutely fucking raging and can’t hide it. Get it right up them.

@PaulMacca63 @tommyinglasgowx We had no players left that could play midfield holding role Missing mcIntee Magnusson ague and Leonard from midfield and a half fit Devlin didn’t matter what O’Neill did. We were running on empty and Celtic deserved the win

Didn’t storm the dig out went to speak to the lapdogs boss who apologised for his behaviour. It’ll all come out on wash. Enjoy your celebrations could be last for a while

So on everything else that happened yesterday….. I absolutely understand the elation and emotion about the third goal and even the way it was scored. It was always going to spark bedlam and as a passionate football fan myself you can understand why some folk jumped on to the track as part of the celebrations, same as what happened at Motherwell during the week. It happens. What shouldn’t happen though, with the game not even finished, is that a good number of those fans then went much, much further. Invading all over the pitch, confronting and goading the Hearts players and making it impossible for the game to resume. I think we can all agree it of course made zero difference to the outcome of the game, the whistle would have been blown as soon as Hearts kicked off again but you cannot have fans deciding when a game is over. The Hearts players should not have been put in that position and it was a really sorry end to what was a tremendous game to finish an incredible title race. The SPFL will I am sure take a very dim view of what happened, particularly if Don Robertson confirms that he had not blown the full time whistle. More to come on this over the next few days I think.

@LennyBr64521062 @Opticsbhoy You do understand football is more than just data but the fact you call him Wank instead shank shows you’re not very grown up. Shankland has great build up play strength and captaining a team not to mention missed 2 months season. How many those players nominated for POTY… none

@Opticsbhoy @stjambo Weird that he would come at you with a LIE ... the guy from Motherwell (Maswanhise) who scored 17 in the league and tied in second were Nygren and WANKland with 16 ... so, he wasn't the best but he is still a loser! I think Chermiti is better and will make the Huns a lot of money

Shanklin was a disgrace after Maeda scored. He completely lost the head and shown up to be the wee prick he is. He was itching for a fight and now the narrative will be he was assaulted when he tried to have a square go himself.

@IndyIsNormal @pieandbov Never mind learn let’s punish those that allowed this line to be crossed. We had plenty police in front of us and we never going on pitch anyway. Stewarding & policing woeful. We were intimidated and assaulted after game. Been going there 48 years this is worst since early 80’s

@pieandbov Well said. The passion, and the absolute bedlam that causes, in the Scottish game are precisely why we love it so much… we definitely don’t want sanitised football. But there’s a line, and it was crossed yesterday. Let’s learn from it and make whatever changes we need to make.

@pieandbov Another thing to mention was 99.9% of the @CelticFC fans in the ground were booing the pitch invaders. Hopefully the volumes of evidence is used to identify what really went on and ban the transgressors.

@pieandbov What annoyed me most at the time was a) not being able to applaud the players for the effort they put in the season and b) concern over safety of our player I was right beside the wives girlfriend and parents and they were terrified. On leaving they were so upset as we herded out

Genuine question….Is there any footage anywhere in a stadium with over 60,000 cameras. Some in 4k UHD of any actual assaults on any hearts players or staff? If there is I’ll absolutely condemn it but it looks like the media are running away with a myth again. 🍀
