@elvissun why would it need to use openrouter?

woke up to this lol, it's still running! - 6300 lines written - $3.4 spent on openrouter - $8.5 spent on scraping - burned 14% of the weekly limit (20x pro) (so a lot of the time codex was waiting for things to run) there are quite a few lessons I learned from this, the biggest one being the ideal prompt for /goal is different from a typical prompt you would use for spec-driven development. will share more once this finishes

codex is actually insane 🤯 if you thought frontend cloning was impressive, check this out: I just pointed codex at another product, in 30 minutes got back its architecture, data model, prompts with cost estimates. 378-line plan to rebuild it. the craziest part is now I can one shot that entire product with: "/goal implement until your output matches theirs exactly"

After a few days of using Grok Build and consuming 20% of the montly allowance, I have some first impressions to share. It is fast <1s TTFT and 200+ TPS median. Can be used for focused long horizon coding use cases. I was using it to identify and fix a difficult flaky group of tests, it ran for 4h 35m until it succeeded. Keeping context at 30%-40% helps prevent it from looping. Although you can steer it to control it back after. Currently I would put its capability somewhere in the ballpark of a fast mid sized worker model. Usable as is in its current state. The team improves it everyday based on user feedback. Based on these first impressions, I will continue to use it and am looking forward to the new updates. What are your thoughts on it?

“because I forgot how lonely internet money is until i wasn't lonely anymore” 🥹 Making builder friends will 10x your revenue
Tibo@tibo_maker

just came back from hacker residency in Vietnam 18 days. 20 builders. one villa. met @robj3d3 and @eugZolotarenko in person for the first time after building SuperX and Outrank together for 18 months even met @pbteja1998 who built feather before I acquired it. → worked out at 7am with co-founders → made decisions in 3 minutes that would've taken 3 days over slack → remembered what it feels like to be around people building the same thing I didn't want to leave. scheduled my flight months ago and regretted it alot last week 😅 because I forgot how lonely internet money is until i wasn't lonely anymore if you're building alone from your bedroom every day, you're missing this tomorrow's newsletter: why remote works but isolation kills, and what to do about it sign up below. 100% free 👇

Time to share: I left Meta a while back to build something new. It started as a side quest, but now it’s my full-time obsession. We’re a small team in Oakland making a sci-fi idea real. Being back in founder mode as AI takes off is intense and unbelievably fun! More soon.

Some new improvement updates on BYOCDN which powers fyra.sh's CDN network - Faster caching calculations - Smarter caching rules to evaluate safer query params for caching - More verbose server logs to identify potential cache problems. All these to better serve static traffic faster and more efficiently to fyra's downstream users.

Turned 29 over weekend and decided I'm going to start posting again. I've been working in tech for 10 years now - frontend at Nike, DevRel at Tenderly, took 10+ apps to production as founding DevRel at OneBalance, now building AI pipelines as an FDSE. And for most of that time I just wasn't talking about any of it publicly. Partly because I was heads down, partly because every time I sat down to write something I'd overthink it and close the tab. Anyway, that's done. Going to write about the stuff I actually work on - Web3 infra, DevRel, dev tools, career stuff, etc. Not polished thought leadership, just things I've learned and things I got wrong. Starting this week!

hey pi kids. if you use @opencode zen or go for their free models, expect them to rate limit you hard. pi will not add the special headers needed for that not to happen. gentlemen's agreement.

@tobi ask the hive mind pattern, it’s a nice way to work. i prefer this pattern rather than big model delegating to smaller models for some workflows.

I’ve had very good results running autoresearch with local qwen 3.6 26b model as long as I had a simple vibed pi “advisor” extension that allowed it to periodically ask GPT 5.5 for ideas. I think this direction has a lot of merit.
