🚨 @POTUS on Windmills: “We’ve Basically Stopped All Windmills in This Country.” During today’s announcement with @EPA Administrator @LeeMZeldin, our reporter @CaraCastronuova asked President Trump about rolling back the EPA’s endangerment finding and what steps he plans to take against what critics call “climate industry scams,” including wind turbines near his hometown in New York. @POTUS responded bluntly: “We’ve basically stopped all windmills in this country. It’s the most expensive energy you can get.” He criticized wind turbines as costly, foreign-made, and harmful to landscapes and wildlife: “They’re all made in China… We’re putting them all over our fields and ruining the fields and killing the birds.” Trump also raised national security and aviation concerns: “It’s endangerment for the military. It’s also endangerment for airliners. We’re trying to take care of those situations now.” He added that his administration is working to terminate certain inherited contracts and hopes not to see any new windmills built during his time in office.
