@marciadalton @inkling_micko @olivia_tuckey @HSELive recommends that children under 12 should not cycle on their own in or near traffic. You were with your son taking all precautions. So sorry to hear this happened. Very scary for you both.

@inkling_micko @olivia_tuckey Yes, I and his sister were with him. He's a good cyclist and was wearing hi-vis/helmet. Has a racing bike. A kid like Olin can't be restricted to parks and is totally unsuited to footpaths. That's why it's so sad that the road is so unsafe 😥

To the BMW driver who pushed my 10 year old up on the kerb so that he fell off his bike and hit his head off a wall, thanks for not stopping to see was he ok. Did you forget to keep 1.5m distance from a cyclist??? We're so lucky he wore a helmet and is only grazed and scared 😡
