Its coming up 4 months since Barry #stoma was put back inside me, everything is going well #stomareversal and #herniarepair has worked out pretty well, I have a few little niggling issues but it's still relatively early days but I'm an impatient person 😊

Was about to ask my friends if they were ‘pancaking’ tonight 🤦🏻‍♀️ Brought Stella to mind, and decided not to use that word! 🤣 Happy Pancake Day #ostomates Hope you’re able to have a couple 🥞 😋

I still think about my situation 3 years ago & I’m forever thankful for the care I received to save my life. To all of you going through hard times now with the added worry of the virus, cancelled ops etc I just want to wish you strength & let’s hope 2021 brings healing.

Apart from the other two obvious reasons today’s meaningful, it’s also exactly one year since my reversal surgery 🎉 Still in awe of how they fixed me so I only spent a week there as opposed to the month I spent when I got Stella! #reversalsurgery #ostomate #StellatheStoma

I just walked 12 steps to the bathroom door turned around and walked 12 back all in a frame. I’m exhausted but considering that I couldn’t even feel my right knee or make it move 3 days ago I am feeling pretty smug. Trying a walk to the bathroom mirror later this afternoon.

2/2 I did tell them, as I was due reversal surgery before the 2nd show. Fate intervened, it was postponed & I did the 2nd show too! When I went for reversal surgery I had a gorgeous group of new friends working at the hospital to visit & support me.💜 them all & the Stoma team

1/2 One year ago was the fundraiser show for #RCHT I had a blast helping teach this gorgeous lot their dances. Nearly all #NHS staff. I kept my issues secret. I danced with a parastomal hernia, leaks, embarrassment, but is still did it! No one knew until after....
