The Pan-African Parliament (PAP) and @NEPAD_Agency , in partnership with @AWLNetwork will convene a side event on the margins of the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women #CSW70. Under the theme: “ Strengthening Women’s Public and Parliamentary Leadership to Advance Justice, Laws,and Accountable Governance in Africa”, the joint Side event at #CSW70 will provide a focused platform to elevate Africa’s parliamentary perspective within the global CSW process and demonstrate how strengthening women’s public and parliamentary leadership can drive justice sector reforms, enhance institutional accountability, and deliver inclusive governance outcomes for women and girls. The side meeting will also serve to reinforce commitments to domestication and implementation of the Maputo Protocol, strengthen monitoring and accountability mechanisms such as the AU Gender Observatory, and promote coordinated action among parliaments, AU organs, RECs, civil society, and development partners.
