Not only are severe thunderstorms/tornadoes anticipated for parts of the South today, but very heavy rainfall will likely bring with it a threat for flash flooding for an area stretching from the Deep South, north into the Ohio River Valley.

Eastern bluebirds are found throughout most of the eastern U.S. and parts of Mexico and southern Canada. They can be found year round in southern states and are already starting to appear in the north. Have you seen any lately? Photo courtesy of Gordon Garcia.

Here's a look at the timing and impact we will see tomorrow from #Zeta. Most everyone will see wind impacts but rain and tornado threats will vary more by location. This is a fast-moving system so 2-4hrs of the worst weather then out of here #cltwx #ncwx #scwx #wcnc

Stormy reminds you to always clear storm drains of any leaves or debris. For proper disposal, gather leaves in a trash bag and prepare them for collection or use on your yard for mulch!

@mridenhour The nearby X Charlotte Trail project & the broken water main may have contributed to the appearance of the creek. We are implementing measures to ensure this does not happen frequently. Be sure to follow us for more info & tag us if you see anything! Our creeks appreciate you.
