I returned to Ogun State today with a full heart. What I saw in Iperu is the kind of progress we must insist on as a nation. Quite deliberate, and built to last. The Gateway Cargo Airport stands as proof of what is possible when vision is matched with discipline. As I said, “Our investment is about our people. Today’s foundation is for tomorrow’s prosperity.” I acknowledge Governor Dapo Abiodun @DapoAbiodunCON for his focus and consistency. Development is not about noise. It is about decisions that improve lives. From the aircraft launched today to the electric bikes, tractors, and security assets, this is what progress should look like. Practical, real, and visible. “Development must touch every level,” and I am pleased to see that principle taking shape in Ogun State. Our Renewed Hope reforms are not abstract. They have provided more resources for sub-nationals and are creating room for states to act and deliver. Many states, including Ogun, are rising to the moment. We will stay the course. “We are building for people, and we are building for prosperity.” As they say in Ogun, “Ìṣẹ́ yá…” I say, “Ìṣẹ̀ ń lọ.” The work continues. - Bola Ahmed Tinubu President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria .@ngrpresident .@nigeriagov

As Muslims across the world celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, I congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters in Nigeria and give thanks to Almighty God for guiding us through the holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan, alongside the season of Lent, has taught us enduring lessons in patience, tolerance, sacrifice, and neighbourliness. These are not seasonal virtues. They are the foundation upon which we must continue to build our nation. We have embraced the principles of giving, peace, love for country, and kindness to one another. Now, we must live them. Let us continue to assist the needy, support the vulnerable, and remain our brother’s keeper. Good behaviour, good neighbourliness, and compassion for all must define us beyond this period. I pray for peace across our country. Stability, peace, and security are not the responsibility of one man alone. It is a collective duty. I urge all Nigerians to remain vigilant and to report suspicious movements within their communities. Our safety depends on our shared commitment. Let us carry forward the spirit of Ramadan in our actions, our words, and our service to one another. May God accept our sacrifices. Eid Mubarak.

In 2025, the Bank of Industry @bankofindustry disbursed a historic N636 billion to more than 7,000 Nigerian enterprises, the highest annual financing in its history. N202 billion went to agro-allied industries. N100 billion to critical infrastructure. N79 billion to manufacturing. N77 billion to extractive industries. N55 billion to services. These are not abstract numbers. They represent factories expanding capacity, farmers linked to processors, power extended to communities, and businesses strengthened across our nation. In a challenging global environment, Nigeria chose reform, discipline, and productive investment. When institutions are strengthened and aligned with national priorities, Nigeria delivers. Our commitment to industrial growth is firm, and the results are measurable.

During the State Visit today in Ankara, Türkiye, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and I reaffirmed our shared ambition, which speaks directly to jobs, investment, and opportunity for our people, creating a clear pathway to a five-billion-dollar trade volume between Nigeria and Türkiye. Our conversations were practical and forward-looking: trade and investment, energy, education, defence cooperation, peace and security, and the creation of a Joint Economy and Trade Committee to unlock new flows of capital and deepen Turkish investment in Nigeria. I welcome President Erdoğan’s recognition of Nigeria’s reform momentum, particularly in the energy sector, and his confidence in our determination to build an economy that works for everyone, including the most vulnerable. We also spoke frankly about security. Nigeria will continue to play its role in peace and stability in Africa. Türkiye’s experience and readiness to cooperate in military training, intelligence sharing, and counter-terrorism efforts strengthen our collective resolve against agents of destabilisation in the Sahel and beyond. At the conclusion of our meetings, nine agreements were exchanged across defence, education, media, diaspora policy, trade, social development, and institutional cooperation between our foreign ministries. Nigeria remains open for serious partnership. Open to trade without barriers. Open to ideas, skills, and investment that create value and shared prosperity. We are building an inclusive economy. We are strengthening peace. Nigeria will continue to engage the world with confidence and clarity. Bola Ahmed Tinubu President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

My Sympathy visit to the Kano Singer Market and the Mazaf Holdings Warehouse. Yesterday, Sunday, 8 February, I travelled to Kano to commiserate with traders at Singer Market and the Mazaf Warehouse, which were destroyed by fire. Such a disaster at this time can be devastating. Mazaf Holdings is one of the largest Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies in Nigeria, representing many multinational brands operating in the country. The fire incident resulted in the destruction of goods worth billions of naira. I thank the Kano State Government for its visit and support, as well as Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for his visit and support. I will also contribute in my own little way. I also intend to visit other facilities that have suffered similar incidents in recent times but which I was unable to visit earlier due to unavoidable circumstances at the time of the incidents. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
