IMO The DEM party establishment couldn’t stand a chance vs progressive challengers in a fair fight. This explains why they have spent $millions fabricating the negative far left myth. #medicare4all

Bill Maher just told John Fetterman he is the perfect example of the radical left’s extreme intolerance. Even though Fetterman votes with Democrats 93% of the time, the far left still treats him with suspicion and hostility. MAHER: “It’s hysterical to me that the Democratic Party, which you vote with 93% of the time... even when you're 93% with them, their attitude is so bad. They have such a bad attitude of you either have the one true opinion, which we the geniuses of the far left know, or you’re just somebody at least suspect.” FETTERMAN: “When I vote 93% like a Dem line and I'm more popular with Republicans, I can't explain it. I truly don't. And I find myself in a strange place.” Fetterman should join the Republican Party.

@overton_news Brutal honesty? Bill Maher caters to people who can afford tickets to his performances and the companies that sponsor his shows

Bill Maher just admitted that Donald Trump’s unfiltered way of speaking his interior monologue gives him an unmatched authenticity. He said Trump’s raw reaction to Norah O’Donnell after the assassination attempt — immediately calling her out as a “horrible person” and a “disgrace” — was both horrifying and strangely refreshing because of its shocking honesty. MAHER: “I saw his interview with Norah O'Donnell after the shooting the next day. And she quotes the assassin who called him a pedophile, Hitler or whatever he called... his reaction immediately was to her, you're a terrible person.” “And he didn't just think it. Any politician, that's exactly what they're thinking. He just says it. If that's what's in his head, you're a horrible person. You're a disgrace. And it's at the same time horrifying and also it's kind of refreshing.” Even Bill Maher can’t help but tip his hat to Trump for his brutal honesty.

7 years ago today. It was always painfully obvious this exact outcome would happen, but Democrats just wouldn't listen.

Democrats control all houses of government in both NY and CA. Both states have single payer Medicare for All-style healthcare bills sitting in committee and in both states, Dems refuse to advance the bills for a floor vote. Voters gave Dems the power, Dems chose their donors.
California Nurses Association@CalNurses

We are outraged. The CA Assembly just killed #CalCare — the bill that would guarantee health care for every Californian. Nurses condemn this failure by our elected leaders. We know health is a human right! nationalnursesunited.org/press/nurses-c…

Nobody fully believes Dems are serious about fixing the affordability crisis because nobody fully believes Dems are willing to offend their donors who are creating the affordability crisis. Dems’ donor fealty has created a credibility gap. It’s their biggest political problem.

The U.S. spends far more on healthcare than other rich countries. $15,000 per person (almost double), 18% of GDP (nearly twice as high), and healthcare inflation is 7% (roughly double others). Yet outcomes are worse. Life expectancy is lower, infant & maternal mortality higher, and chronic disease like diabetes and heart disease higher. Canada with single payer has far lower costs than the US, and even than Germany & Switzerland, and provides better, universal coverage. Most important, in an AI world, people's healthcare must not be dependent on their job. Every doctor should be in network. Medicare for All is needed for our time. It is a moral and economic imperative.

We have the highest rate of child & senior poverty of almost any major country on earth, per OECD. 21% of seniors are trying to live on less than $15,000 a year & nearly half of older workers have ZERO retirement savings. It’s not the old vs the young. It’s the 1% vs the 99%.

"Americans age 65 and older received an estimated $2.7 trillion in federal outlays last year, six times more than the $449 billion for Americans under 26 years old," per WaPo.

Listen vote how you want, but this kind of thinking is what created so many problems. This sick idea that Dem voters should try to be “savvy” political pundits rather than simply voting for their actual interests — it’s resulted in nominating terrible candidates who often lose.

I would vote for El-Sayed in a safe state and McMorrow in a swing state, simple as. He’s never won a competitive election before and she crushed hers

It is illegal for individuals to buy life insurance policies on other people without their consent… …but government officials can place prediction market bets on wars that they can launch to kill millions of people without their consent. What a ridiculous time to be alive.

@elonmusk If this issue is so important to you, why don’t you invest a way to get voter ID documentation to all qualified USA citizens. I believe Trump only wants to create a way to rig the next election to avoid criminal prosecution & keep illegal $s

The Save Act seems like another attempt of Trump to evade justice. If Trump and his cult really wants all eligible Americans to have birth certificates handy, they should make a strong effort to make them easily accessible.
