"If 'we are the government,' then anything a government does to an individual is not only just and untyrannical but also “voluntary” on the part of the individual concerned." "Under this reasoning, any Jews murdered by the Nazi government were not murdered; instead, they must have “committed suicide,” since they were the government (which was democratically chosen), and, therefore, anything the government did to them was voluntary on their part." "Briefly, the State is that organization in society which attempts to maintain a monopoly of the use of force and violence in a given territorial area; in particular, it is the only organization in society that obtains its revenue not by voluntary contribution or payment for services rendered but by coercion." "The State has never been created by a “social contract”; it has always been born in conquest and exploitation." "What, then, is the State as a sociological concept? The State, completely in its genesis... is a social institution, forced by a victorious group of men on a defeated group, with the sole purpose of regulating the dominion of the victorious group of men on a defeated group, and securing itself against revolt from within and attacks from abroad. Teleologically, this dominion had no other purpose than the economic exploitation of the vanquished by the victors." — Excerpts from Murray Rothbard's Anatomy of the State, including a quote from Franz Oppenheimer's The State

"Vibe Coding" is great because after 3 weeks you can have a game that seems like it was made at a weekend game jam, except it will also have a nasty low frame rate and lots of weird bugs! You can hook up payments to this not-really-game and then lie about how much it makes!

@TonnieRober @SaylorBuysBTC No doubt, Saylor is one of the most respected experts globally. But what I mean is that the broader consensus among market analysts sees a more moderate target.

@Brooklynmonk @davidleavitt I agree with you. I just know from experience that this is easier said than done. I’ve seen a friend offer this approach only to be vilified by her child and community. It’s very sad.

Imagine believing your child was “killed” just because they don’t identify with the sex they were born with. A real father would love their child unconditionally.

@Brooklynmonk @davidleavitt Most trans kids will respond to this with vitriol and hatred. They believe that the only correct action is for parents to “affirm” them. Anything else they view as abuse. I’ve watched this tear many well-meaning families apart.

This is a reply from an official Cursor dev (look at the organization badge). Bro's being genuine. He's DM-ing me to give Pro. This is everything you need to know about the people "building" our future. Transforming higher level languages to Assembly is a Technology from 1950s.

We’re going to try and make the text from the JFK files not only searchable, but interactive. There’s just too much seemingly inconsequential info for a human to parse. 🤖 Ideally there will be a website where users can ask questions just like using Grok or chatGPT.

For Age II and Age III we sourced the real language for pretty much every civ for the sounds for the villagers & warriors. Some we could not, and had to use substitutes - no one seems to know what the Huns spoke for instance. (I am not sure, but we might have had them speak Hungarian.) One guy asked me why we didn't have the Goths speak Gothic. Well, because zero people speak Gothic today. We can read some of the texts is all. So we had them speak German. For most of the languages I had the team call Brigham Young University, because they have a fabulous language department (and I had contacts). Much of the reason for BYU's great languages is all the returned LDS missionaries from around the world. A weird tidbit is that because the original Age of Empires villagers didn't speak an intelligible language, so when we had the English speak Shakespearean they laughed and said it sounded "silly". They demanded something else, so we chose an old English which sounded foreign. Fortunately, English evolved quite fast between 1400-1600 so medieval English is practically incomprehensible to modern speakers. But when my German or French friends would ask why they could understand the Teutons or French and not the English all I could do was shrug.

Regarding US activity in Yemen: I recently said to watch for a new military engagement to compensate for the pull back in Ukraine. The Military Industrial Complex demands about $50 billion a year from our government, above and beyond what’s necessary to defend our own country.
Thomas Massie@RepThomasMassie

The military industrial complex demands about $50 billion per year in war. As soon as we quit spending $50b per year in Afghanistan, we started spending $50b per year in Ukraine. Watch where the next $50b per year goes when we stop sending it to Ukraine. The MIC is always hungry.

No income tax on Americans making less than $150,000 sounds like we’re punishing those that take on leadership roles and we’re discouraging entrepreneurs. Having a flat tax is the only solution.

@AnnaRMatson See if you can find any “biological dentists” in your area. They have a different perspective than mainstream dentists and tend to have strong opinions on fillings. I found one near me and during my first appointment we just talked about The Real Anthony Fauci the whole time 😂

Silly me to go to a medical professional and ask questions. I saw a new dentist today and asked their opinion about removing my mercury fillings opposed to keeping them in. What is worse, grinding the mercury over time or just disturbing it all at once to remove it completely? I was made to feel silly for asking this so I’ll just ask MAHA instead. Any opinions?

This is an amazing video. The HHS Secretary is apparently doing an ad for Steak ’n Shake while pretending to do a news interview, with the video being promoted by influencers who are surely also getting paid. What a disgusting grift. Top to bottom, this whole thing is rotten.

For far too long, ingredient manufacturers and sponsors have exploited a loophole that has allowed new ingredients and chemicals, often with unknown safety data, to be introduced into the U.S. food supply without notification to the @FDA or the public. Eliminating the GRAS loophole will provide transparency to consumers, help get our nation’s food supply back on track by ensuring that ingredients being introduced into foods are safe, and ultimately Make America Healthy Again. NEW — Trump is back at his golf course adjacent to the county jail in West Palm Beach. Of the seven weekends since returning to office, he has played golf at his Florida courses on six of them. The cost to you: $18.2 million. And counting. huffpost.com/entry/donald-t…

Just one question: Why are there so few demonstrations in the USA against Trump? The man is turning the USA into a dictatorship and plunging the world into chaos, and the Americans are not fighting back.
