There is this thing called due process and sovereignty Every Filipino has the right to seek temporary reprieve or determination before a Philippine court regarding any arrest warrants issued against them by an International Court - more so if such acts were alleged to have been commited by a Filipino within the Philippines Otherwise, Philippine law is not the supreme law of our land but is actually inferior or below the laws of some other foreign entity This is a slap on the face of our very own judicial system. Everyone should just cool off and let the courts handle it

The rule is actually very succinct and clear: NO ONE may be arrested in the Philippines EXCEPT on the strength of a warrant issued by a court of competent jurisdiction IN THE PHILIPPINES under certain conditions and observing due process. It's in the Constitution.

Senators who casually acknowledge a foreign arrest warrant without emphasizing Philippine constitutional process should not be the ones crafting our laws. Should not be a senator of the republic.. The Philippine Constitution is the supreme law of the land, not subordinate to foreign entities. Any foreign process affecting a Filipino citizen must still pass through proper Philippine legal validation and due process. That is the duty of lawmakers: to defend the integrity of our legal system, not weaken it through selective interpretation driven by politics. If our own senators forget that constitutional safeguards come first, then they are undermining the very sovereignty they swore to protect.
