Is Integrated Pest Management a thing of the past? Does anyone consider economic thresholds in their decisions on killing weeds, timing, insecticide, etc. Or is it just “kill it, apply it, don’t think about it” Good Morning

My planter monitor shows excessive amounts of doubles but only while planting one direction. I have a bad tailwind when it shows the issue. Is it dirt being blow by the sensor in the seedtube?

maybe this is a hot take / rare but i've never been in debt. i treat my credit card like a debit card. i bought my car with cash. the first time i am in "debt" will be when i take out a mortgage on my house. this seems normal to me but learning it's not?

As best as I can tell- somebody got their pickup stuck and instead of calling their buddy to pull them out, they took off the running boards and used those to help get traction. And then left them behind 😂😑

@corn_porkNbeans Dad's strategy is to go on vacation and get back the day before he considers an acceptable time to start fieldwork. I don't know how he can relax on that vacation but it seems to work for him!

It only feels late because others have had a tremendously early start. Good for them 👏 At the end of NEXT week, not this week the calendar will say April 24th. Over the last 11 years of keeping track- Our best corn yields come from the last week of April for planting. Everyone take a breath. We are fine.

@jasonmauck1 Used turn automation on mile long rounds last spring and went 4 hours in the cab without touching a single control. Got bored and turned off my turn automation

When you get your end rows and point rows done in a big 🌽 field, seed full, fertilizer, and have a cold beer and nothing but AB lines ahead Grandpa is shaking his head in heaven

Bumped the value of my urea in the bin up $300/ton on the balance sheet, equity is back to positive, time to borrow against that to buy another piece of land 🙏🏻

Was talking about margin calls with one of the good 'ol boys just now. Told me he'd rather "stand in a cold shower ripping up $20 bills than pay margin" Not saying I agree.... but I do understand

@KINGS1973 When my boy was 4ish months old- he would never turn his head to the left and actively fought us if we tried to turn it for him. One visit to the chiropractor solved the problem. Never been back since but we will if the issue resumes.

There are a lot of crazy things that go on around where I live. Taking a 7-8 month old to the chiropractor is up there 🫣🤣

If you had to build one revenue stream on your farm that had nothing to do with the commodity market, what would it be? Not a trick question. Genuinely trying to figure out what people are thinking about.
