@ForMYCanada Oh I wonder what incentives will be given to Sarnia in the next few weeks. NDP received 400+ million of a seat up North. This sounds expensive. For Canadian Taxpayers that is.

Why would Mark Carney want Marilyn Gladu in his caucus? 🇨🇦🤔 A few possible reasons: • She represents Sarnia–Lambton, home to Chemical Valley. Canada’s largest petrochemical cluster. That brings real industrial and energy-sector credibility. ⚡🛢️ • She’s a chemical engineer with decades in the energy sector 🧪🔧 — useful when talking about industrial decarbonization, hydrogen, and the energy transition 🌱⚡. • Signals Liberals can attract Conservatives from traditionally blue ridings 🔵➡️🔴. • Politically, every additional MP strengthens a governing caucus 🏛️. Achievements & contributions: 🏆 - Introduced national framework for palliative care (Bill C-277) ❤️⚕️ - Proposed Pension Protection Act (Bill C-228) 💼💰 - Chaired Status of Women committee, advocated for STEM & trades 👩‍🔬🔧 - 21 years at Dow Chemical; Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineers 🏗️👷‍♀️ - Promoted regional economic development & clean-tech initiatives 🌱🏭 In short: energy expertise, regional credibility, legislative accomplishments, and political optics. 💡📊 #SarniaLambton #ChemicalValley #MarilynGladu #MarkCarney #EnergyTransition #Politics #CanadianPolitics #STEM #PalliativeCare #PensionProtection

@pdrobertson Or what the Liberals offered her and her riding. NDP was 400+ million of your tax payer dollars. Sarnia doesn’t sound like it will be cheap. So in reality taxpayers will be on the hook for over a billion dollars to buy a majority. Is that how politics works?

You can speculate about what motivated Marilyn Gladu to cross the floor to the Carney Liberals. But you can't say it was opportunism. She won her riding with 53% of the vote. One has to wonder: what exactly is the number of CPC MPs needed to bail before caucus starts asking really uncomfortable questions?

How are Liberals this dumb to spend and spend and spend Canadian taxpayers dollars to increase the debt even more is the better question. And now by purchasing a few MP’s by giving their ridings a few multi-million incentive packages made up of taxpayer dollars to gain the majority? What’s Sarnia receiving?? People, give your heads a shake. It’s way past being a joke now to see what is happening.

This might go down as the biggest political collapse in Canadian history. From a promised supermajority to his own party abandoning ship. He didn’t just lose the election, he lost his seat, and they still brought him back. 🤯 Let that sink in.

@MarkJCarney But you are going to add $4000 if this boondock HSR goes through and benefits no one except the finance minister and his wife who needs to make a living as well.

@RoyceKoop Paying off their ridings with huge incentives? Those are Canadian tax payer dolars being used you clown! How about approaching your writing skills as a journalist and not a Liberal supporter!

I don't think the spate of floor-crossings says much about the opposition parties or their leaders. There is always going to be malcontents (Gladu, D'Entrement) and opportunists (Ma, Idlout) sitting on the opposition benches. But they say a great deal about a prime minister who is willing to use the power of the state to entice those MPs to join the government, overturning the results of the last election. #cdnpoli #cdnpolitics

@DavidJPba Really. What does this tell you. There is a massive investment from the Liberal goverment coming to Sarnia courtesy of Canadian tax payer dollars. All this to gather a majority? Liberals are the worst hypocrites who promote corruption and you know it.

Pierre Poilievre has created a party that has no confidence in him. This many floor crossers is unprecedented. He will not survive as Leader of the Opposition till the next election. A man who had his chance to seize greatness, and fumbled it in the most pathetic way at possible.

I’m excited to welcome Marilyn Gladu as she joins our Liberal team in building a stronger, more united Canada. I’ve known Marilyn for a long time, and she’s spent years fighting for her community in Sarnia. It was great to be with her today and see that same energy and commitment as she steps into this next chapter, working alongside Prime Minister Carney to help build Canada strong. It’s time to build. Welcome to the team, Marilyn.
