Mark Ashton, Chairman of Ipswich Town FC, has just delivered a masterclass in institutional cowardice. Unreservedly apologising for the “hurt, pain and distress” caused by hosting an elected Member of Parliament, Nigel Farage? Not for some scandal, but for the unpardonable sin of allowing democracy to set foot in a football stadium. This is not compassion. It is the snivelling capitulation of a man who mistakes the shrieking of a Twitter minority for moral authority. One watches such a spectacle with horror: another British institution folding before the mob, reviewing its “policy on engaging with politicians” as though free association were now a hate crime. Pathetic, spineless, and beneath contempt. Britain deserves leaders with spines, not this grovelling.

🚨 BREAKING: CALIFORNIA JUST WENT DARK No warning. No clear cause. No answers. Hundreds of thousands without power across: • San Diego • Orange County Authorities say they’re still “investigating.” Think about that. A major blackout… and they don’t know why? Power grids don’t just fail at this scale without a reason. Something triggered this. The question is — what? Stay alert.

Don’t you dare call Reform “racist” again @ZackPolanski whilst your party is infested with vehement antisemites. When you overlook antisemitism from certain communities for votes, this is what happens. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2026/…

WTF Facts
WTF Facts@mrwtffacts·
In 2004, serial rapist Akku Yadav terrorized a slum in India for over a decade, raping dozens of women, murdering at least 3 people, and walking free every time thanks to police corruption. On August 13, while appearing for a bail hearing, around 200 women (many his victims) stormed Nagpur District Court armed with kitchen knives, stones & chili powder. They threw chili in his eyes, stabbed him over 70 times, hacked off his penis with a vegetable knife, and left him dead on the courtroom floor.

As someone with more than two decades in the chemical industry across various roles, this would be a disaster. It feels like this is a story that should be garnering much more attention than it has? Look this way and not that again by Labour? Most people don't appreciate why salt matters so much. So here's some of the reason(s). Salt (sodium chloride) is the essential feedstock for the chlor-alkali process (electrolysis of brine), which generates chlorine (Cl₂), caustic soda (NaOH), and hydrogen. These underpin production of the following - - PVC and vinyls - Pharmaceuticals (it's in approx 90% of drugs) - Water treatment, pulp & paper, detergents and countless other products. The downstream supply chain for UK manufacturing is enormous. This isn't just about table salt, it's the backbone of heavy chemicals. This article points at one major production facility, but it affects, in short, hundreds of downstream chemical derivatives that flow from these basics and they in turn play a role in supporting vast swathes of UK manufacturing and supply chains. Losing domestic salt production would have repercussions through the entire industry, yet another disaster in the name of net zero!!!
spiked@spikedonline

The factory that produces half of Britain’s salt could soon be killed by Net Zero. For the first time in history, England is set to be a net importer of the world’s most important mineral. This will be catastrophic for UK manufacturing, says Ruari McCallion buff.ly/M8o8O6P

Britain is on the brink of becoming a net importer of salt for the first time in history, a resource we’ve produced for centuries, with reserves that could last decades. Salt underpins entire industries, from chemicals to pharmaceuticals, it's used in 90% of medicines, and if domestic production collapses, those industries will follow or relocate. This isn’t just about seasoning food, it’s about national resilience, jobs, and the survival of British manufacturing. Ed Miliband is trying to shut down all Britain’s industry except Net Zero.
Ben Graham tweet media
Ben Graham@BenGrahamUK

Ed Miliband’s Net Zero fantasy is now hitting reality. We’re on the brink of importing salt, a resource Britain has produced for generations. This isn’t climate leadership. It’s industrial self sabotage. And it’s our children who’ll inherit the cost.

The same GMP who ignored pakistani rape gangs. The same GMP placed into special measures. The same GMP who “failed” to record tens of thousands of crimes. The same GMP effectively controlled by Andy Burnham who also turned a blind eye to the rape gangs.
