@DrCharlesL In North Tyneside I don’t have the problem - ring in the morning, generally straight through to someone, then an appointment that day - either myself or my daughter (two different practices)

@mcdonnellk3 I’m rather surprised that the announcement was made during the period previously known as purdah, too…

I @stubailey900 accept @PotNoodle’s very real and genuine apology following their slurp ads. I hereby seek cash compensation from the £10K Pot Noodle Compensation Pot for this whole ordeal. #ad

@DrGrahamEvans Well I got home at 3am - I hope you weren’t too late (early?)…

@stubailey900 It is....not sure how other trains are passing us!

Had a great day at #Rewired24 only to be let down by a serious train disruption, looks like no trains from York northbound for a while! Starting to feel like #trainsplanesandautomobiles

@DrGrahamEvans Yep - I’m in Coach A after jumping off the Cross Country that is third in the queue and seeking a comfy LNER seat!

In our final #Rewired24 keynote session @AyeshaRahimCCIO launches an equity charter following the @NetworkShuri & @digitalhealth2 joint statement yesterday. Please do sign the petition to be part of an open letter to stand up to discrimination in digital health. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…

@jschunter @bindureddy @GaryMarcus But a doctor who is only 97% accurate isn’t a concept one would like to consider…
English

@bindureddy This just proves that #hallucinations - unlike what @GaryMarcus laments - are a nothing burger. If every employee in a company had a 97% accuracy rate in their output we’d be fine. Because we learned to work productively with imperfect team members. We‘ll learn the same with #AI.
English

Finally, we have a hallucination leaderboard! 😍😍
Key Takeaways
📍 Not surprisingly, GPT-4 is the lowest.
📍 Open source LLama 2 70 is pretty competitive!
📍 Google's models are the lowest. Again, this is not surprising given that the #1 reason Bard is not usable is its high hallucination rate.
Really cool that we are beginning to do these evaluations and capture them in leaderboards!

@KevinGMayfield It’s bizarre, isn’t it, that even the building blocks of observations seem to be so difficult as soon as they are exposed to some of the open health IT systems…

@MrNickKnowles Once again thank you for bringing your gravity ball to Newcastle and making it all possible!

Folks, it's going to be a closed LinkedIn group - so hopefully NOT spammy. Let me know if you would like to join. Decided to stick with what I once knew ;-)

I want to start/join a discussion about AI in healthcare in the UK, particularly primary care. What's the best platform? Many years ago I set up a LinkedIn closed group for another discussion and it worked well.

@ATRightMovies And 31 years later Keaton returns in Flash and plays up a storm!

@healthyopinion @JimBethell @jameskirkup “Perhaps” if there were twice the number of Junior Doctors in the system then they could work sensible hours, get breaks, get the time with each patient that is needed… But there aren’t the numbers - and it takes a long time to correct that.
English

@healthyopinion @JimBethell @jameskirkup Conflating the two is absolutely not helpful - in the whole workforce there is a continual push of more complex tasks downwards in the established hierarchy. The argument for that is always that it leaves opportunity for staff to take more responsibility from above at all levels.
English

Strong from @jameskirkup arguing that, if anything, junior doctors should be cheaper. Answer to UK healthcare challenge is not “more doctors”. Tech and workforce expertise means so much now be done by other professions and automation. 1/2
