A lot can change in a year 👀 In April 2022, Arrows deleted 1/3 of our product. 11 months later, Arrows is the #1 most-installed app in the “customer success” category of HubSpot’s App Marketplace 🎉
DZ@danielzarick

Startups are built on big bets. Today, a bet we made 11 months ago to go "all in" on a CRM-centric approach to customer onboarding, comes full circle. We're stoked to announce an official partnership between HubSpot & Arrows, as well as an investment from HubSpot Ventures.

What if marketers created content the way @stripe builds product? 👉 Customer first 👉 With a clear mission 👉 Reasoning from first principles 👉 Testing early with beta groups 👉 Optimizing for speed of learning Marketing is often much more like product than you’d think 🤷‍♂️

@0zne 💯 product marketing lays out “how we win” Without a clear narrative that connects the market and the product any GTM will be less effective.

its insane that product marketing is still considered to be a list of go to market channels. go to market is only the science of amplifying product marketing. it is not the most important part.

product marketing is like the butterfly effect. identify the right market insight, use the right positioning, and years later you can rule your market 🦋 🌪 companies like Zoom and Deel became market leaders with little technology differentiation

Last week, a newsletter operator told me they want to grow from 5k to 10k subscribers by Dec. 31st. It took ~20min to set them up with the beta of our new @SparkLoopHQ Upscribe tool. Even if they never spend another minute working on growth, they'll hit 10k subs by Christmas.

Oh yeah, this is another big reason marketers fail at startups. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen founders that aren’t that great at marketing (or even dislike it) forcing their marketing ideas on their marketers.
Kevin Chau@kchau

@earthlingworks Don’t hire a fire-starter and micromanage them.

@DanielZarick @earthlingworks That idea today was pretty 🔥 joined Arrows because of the outlook on what marketing could be, almost a year later things are looking pretty good. Figuring out the “Arrowsy” way to do marketing here was always the goal.

@jessethanley Couldn’t agree more with this. Everything is competitive and a lot of work to win at no matter how small the bet. Have found it’s a fast path to burnout - especially with a young child.

I think, after having a baby, I start to *feel* why the "small bets"/"start many projects" crowd is the worst path for making an independent living online from software.

Blown away by the response to this @Patticus-inspired email we sent out to a few newsletter operators yesterday 👇 Turns out people really *do* want their SaaS providers to just "do it for them"!

@jayacunzo @kdlafrance True that the core Procket offering is atomization and repurposing as a productized service. I’d say that’s just one component of becoming a media company. We’ve been quietly experimenting with a more full service offer.

I'm on the hunt for an hourly, remote freelance editor. You'd be editing blog posts and landing pages of 800-2,000 words. Each piece has a brief, so you'll have an outline to refer back to. #journojobs DM your rates and clips you've edited, if interested.

@Asling @MktgCrowd This tweet probably took more effort than lifting templates straight from @ClaireSuellen & @ggiiaa 😑 Gross in any case. Even more so to paywall it and claim you did the years of work that’s packaged in the templates.
