@MNHockeyStar Reviewing offsides and taking goals away shouldn’t be allowed. What if a player catches a pass at the blue line and it is ruled he was offsides negating a breakaway but replay shows it wasn’t, he doesn’t get his breakaway back???
@MNHockeyStar Wasnt necessarily a win just because of him, but Michael Lee was pretty special in the 1-0 win for Roseau over Moorhead in the 2007 section finally and then the Rams went on to win state.
Other than Hellebuyck yesterday…
What’s the most memorable goalie performance for you that led to a win mainly because of the goalie. (Yes, I know it’s a team sport).
For me it’s Karl Goehring 1996. Just including this so people don’t steal my answer.
Despite today’s loss, I will say that I won’t be watching men’s Olympic hockey in 2030 if they don’t bring back continuous 5 on 5 in overtime. Hockey is a 5v5 game until there is a winner and If you can’t understand then Canada should rethink having it as an Olympic event until they play by the rules.
@ThePurpleOne_1 Exactly. Drake Maye went 1-11 his first year and played in the Super Bowl his second. JJ deserves this season to prove himself. Look how fucking long they gave Christian Ponder, and you’re going to pull McCarthy after 10 games. WTF?
Freak injury his rookie season cost him the entire year. Then getting sacked 27 times in 10 games makes it tough to stay healthy. Don't say it's because he holds the ball too long because Wentz was sacked 19 times in 5 games and "iTs MaX bRoSmEr" time was sacked 14 times in 7 appearances.
@Expos4ever10@nicholas2476@CanadiensMTL Better stick to baseball if you think that was a pick?? Too funny. Guy was standing on the blue and your player ran into him, no movement from the Wild player, just standing there. Canadians have gotten hockey soft!
Kwesi Adofo-Mensah will never get the credit he deserves for cleaning up the mess Rick Spielman left behind and providing really talented rosters for O'Connell and Flores.
Whiffing on QB is basically unforgivable in the NFL though.
@NFL_DovKleiman Stop worrying about us fam , he fucked us the last 3 games of the season when it mattered most that’s why .. didn’t score a TD last two games including playoffs
@NFL_DovKleiman wait to you see how he does in playoffs. Vikings made the right call, they were not just a pretty good QB from a SB, they needed a cheap rookie QB deal...just didn't work out
@CollinRugg It maybe would have been better for him to stick in the race as he could have been beaten. MN is at the brink and a GOP governor is a must this time around. The Dems have their people leading every agency in the state and the country can see where it has gotten us!
BREAKING: Governor Tim Walz announces he is dropping out of the governor’s race, mentions Nick Shirley in his statement.
Read his partial statement here:
"I won’t mince words here. Donald Trump and his allies – in Washington, in St. Paul, and online – want to make our state a colder, meaner place…”
…
"We’ve got Republicans here in the legislature playing hide-and-seek with whistleblowers.”
"We’ve got conspiracy theorist right-wing YouTubers breaking into daycare centers and demanding access to our children.”
"We’ve got the President of the United States demonizing our Somali neighbors and wrongly confiscating childcare funding that Minnesotans rely on.”
…
“I cannot abide the actions of the political leadership in Washington – these opportunists who are willing to hurt our people to score a few cheap points. They and their allies have no intention of helping us solve the problem – and every intention of profiting off of it.”
"Which brings me to this: 2026 is an election year. And election years have a way of ramping up the politics at a time when we simply can’t afford more politics.”
“In September, I announced that I would run for a historic third term as Minnesota’s Governor. And I have every confidence that, if I gave it my all, I would succeed in that effort.”
“But as I reflected on this moment with my family and my team over the holidays, I came to the conclusion that I can’t give a political campaign my all.”
“Every minute I spend defending my own political interests would be a minute I can’t spend defending the people of Minnesota against the criminals who prey on our generosity and the cynics who prey on our differences.”
"So I’ve decided to step out of the race and let others worry about the election while I focus on the work.”
"I know this news may come as a surprise. But I’m passing on the race with zero sadness and zero regret. After all, I didn’t run for this job so I could have this job. I ran for this job so I could do this job. Minnesota faces an enormous challenge this year. And I refuse to spend even one minute of 2026 doing anything other than rising to meet the moment. Minnesota has to come first – always.”
"That’s what I believe servant leadership demands of me. And as an optimist, I will hold out some hope that my friends on the other side of the aisle will consider what servant leadership demands of them in this moment. We can work together to combat the criminals, rebuild the public’s trust, and make our state stronger. But make no mistake: If Republicans continue down this path of abusing power, smearing entire communities, and running their own fraudulent game at the expense of Minnesotans – we will fight back every step of the way.”
"Today, I’m proud of the work we’ve done to make Minnesota America’s best place to live and raise kids – from our new paid leave policy to our child tax credit to our free lunch program.”
…
"Most of all, I want Minnesotans to know that I’m on the job, 24/7, focused on making sure we stay America’s best place to live and raise kids. No one will take that away from us. Not the fraudsters. And not the President. Not on my watch.”
J.J. McCarthy isn't guaranteed to be the Vikings' starting quarterback next season.
The team will look at established options to strengthen its quarterback room. 👀 thescore.com/news/3444425
🚨HOLY COW: In footage Republicans don’t want you to see, Jack Smith confirms Donald Trump was the CAUSE of January 6.
They released it on New Year’s Eve to bury it. Let’s get it everywhere.
I don’t recall Republican outrage over Brett Favre’s involvement in stealing $77 million worth Welfare money to build a volleyball stadium in GOP ruled Mississippi.
Gee, I wonder why.
