@ThwaitesQuentin Absolutely mate, you’re right, 💯 it would have been chalked off. And annoyingly we would have created 1/2 chances by offering different set pieces by law of averages.

@stuturnips I totally agree, I was dumbfounded by this, and it carried on even after Tartowski got the yellow card for it. And even if we had scored, there would have been a high probability that the goal would be disallowed for some pointless infringement. Bizarre. #COYB

Would add - would be nice to see a bit of variety from set-pieces.

Actually really not a bad second half either, just a phenomenal transitional moment from United with real quality separated us. Frustrating.

I’m an advocate of Moyes, my point being for other Evertonians to take a reality check.

No manager in world football gets patronised this much whilst objectively doing a very good job.
Every nice thing said about him has to be prefaced with nonsense like “I may disagree with his decisions, but -” whilst his club are having one of their most successful seasons ever.

We are in a middle bracket of mediocre teams that can finish anywhere between 7th-16th. We need to get to the top of that in a sustainable way and then we can look higher. Allowing arrogance or entitlement to sleep in at this point is dangerous.

He’s definitely bridged the gap to get us to this level.
That said, I think there is a ceiling with Moyes.

@stuturnips Why do we always look down and not up? We need an upgrade of Manager and playing staff, Moyes gets you to a level but that's it.

@DrDJWilde @rwl140172 The cup performances were bitterly disappointing. The new ground cannot be put at Moyes door for me, we’ve seen lots of clubs experience similar issues in their new stadiums.
Away form has been superb.
And a solid year back in post for me.
