I’m coming to the conclusion that the biggest challenge for Enterprise AI, and AI in general , as of now, is that it’s still impossible to make sure that everyone gets the same answer to the same question, every time. Which is a great response to the doomers. AI doesn’t know the consequences of its output. Judgement and the ability to challenge AI output is becoming increasingly necessary, and valuable. Which makes domain knowledge more valuable by the second. Am I wrong ?

EVs all being so high-tech is a grave tactical error. Not everyone is a techie who likes fancy software and big screens for everything. A cheap EV with actual physical controls & readouts for as many things as possible, and minimal touchscreen reliance, would sell like HOTCAKES.

As an immigrant myself, today's arguments on birthright citizenship are deeply personal to me. The 14th Amendment is clear: the children of immigrants are guaranteed US citizenship. Despite President Trump's wishes, he cannot rewrite the Constitution.

apple had a server line (XServe) but discontinued it because they had no advantage over other servers. nobody bought them with Apple Silicon there's a real reason for Apple servers to exist - imagine an M3 Ultra but designed without desktop thermal/power constraints in mind

apple *has* to have a successor lined up, given how lucrative Apple Silicon is for ML it would be bad business to not have a real Dell GB300 tower competitor, right? they also really need to start getting these in actual racks

The SaaS CRM will be the first to die, if you don’t believe this you are delusional. Every team has their own db as the source of truth & has been dealing with bullshit syncing between these services & would love nothing more than to kill off all the complexity of shit CRM APIs.

I, apparently a naive idiot, had assumed that this was what “we background check our drivers” always meant.

@_ashleypeacock Yeah it’s a mess. Especially bedrock in gov cloud. Totally unusable. Hoping gcp or azure sucks less - everyone is talking a big game. My cloud spend will go where the models are now.

AWS Bedrock is so inferior to Cloudflare's Workers AI in terms of usability and configuration it's insane, if only Workers AI had the frontier models (Anthropic, OpenAI etc.) it would be unreal This is where "region earth" really shines. For stateless resources like inference, you want your request to incur the least latency as possible, and you want the platform to handle that for you. AWS has cross-region inference but it's only within a larger region (e.g. US, Europe) and if you have worldwide users this quickly becomes a pain. Even worse, some models (e.g. Cohere's reranker) is only available in a subset of regions without cross-region inference, and one of them isn't eu-west-1 which is really unhelpful as you then need IAM roles etc. in eu-central-1 just for Cohere in Europe, and has wasted so much of my time this morning

@d0tslash Kinda does not matter because only we have the full sigint database and we provide the mission data files to allies with what we see fit in them. Maybe they can get around some Lockheed Martin bullshit but nobody likes them anyway.
