Someone earning £33,000 in 2010, if their salary had gone up by inflation, would now be a higher rate tax payer, despite being £11,000 below the threshold at the time. The minimum wage in 2010 was £5.80, if increased by inflation it would be £9.09. It will be £12.71 from April. These two factors combined with student loan thresholds and infinity low skilled migrants are the "productivity puzzle" in the UK. We have regulated ourselves into not rewarding working harder.

@stephenhdg The message is designed to get the customer to think about a taxi during the journey and have an app for another time. Lots of visitors will not know there are taxis available on arrival prior to arriving and will make onward plans on the train or even further in advance.

From 1st March until year-end, we will be advertising @blackcabcom in the Metropolitan magazine that is available from Eurostar stations and on the trains themselves. Our aim is to get as many passengers in black cabs, reinforcing the message that in London, there is only one consistently excellent door-to-door service. Albert Bridge update: Our focus is reopening safely to traffic as soon as possible. We’re exploring a temporary fix that could make that possible.

We’re remotely removing the @CabvisionTaxi logos from our Pro payment devices and replacing with @blackcabcom messaging. All iPhone users will see the new standby screen by Tuesday. Android to follow shortly.
