Forced forgiveness is a toxic concept where people tell us to “just move on” or “you need to forgive.” Forced forgiveness implies that a person who’s experienced abuse, neglect, or pain should get over it and allow the person in their lives. When our boundaries are violated or people hurt us, feeling anger or needing to grieve is a natural response. Bypassing our emotions to please other people is a common response in society (especially when family is involved.) In reality, forgiveness is a personal journey. It’s not for anyone else to decide how we experience an event or a relationship we have with another adult.

Comair is a privately owned airline - it does not get government bailouts - or Gordhan and Godangwane handing SAA on a plate to new owners. The question is: why has the CAA grounded all airlines? In whose interest is this?
