I am going to try and illustrate the challenge for a modern day batter, the changes which happen automatically most of the times when you shift in & out of red ball cricket. Pic 1 : His natural receiving position where the bat comes from gully, he is naturally picking up the bat to hit the delivery as he has been trained to do this over years of practice.

moving out to my first apartment today 🥶 been living in mom’s basement for the past 5 years while building what my life looks like today they were really supportive & allowed me to go on that wild “chase of a dream” during my early 20s onto the next stage of life! next stage of life = paying rent lol in all seriousness very grateful to be able to move out on my terms, the apartment I have is gorgeous & I am blessed to wake up in it everyday now but i can only afford it because of the years of sacrifice and knowing that I didn’t know what would happen but I knew if I kept going, something would happen hopefully the content gets even more exciting, have a few ideas 👀 turning 28 in 2 months also makes this the right timing to officially move out a bit emotional for my parents but they raised a son with the right values & I know they are proud of that 😭 time to pay some rent!
