I know Pedro Neto isn’t everyone’s favourite, and not everyone likes the way he plays, but wanting him sold doesn’t make much sense to me. We’re going into the season with Estevão and Quenda as our natural right-wing options. Both are exciting talents, but neither has proven their output at this level yet. Quenda hasn’t even played a competitive game for Chelsea and is already dealing with an injury. Yes, Palmer can play on the right, but he’s a No. 10. Neto may not be the prettiest player to watch, but his pace, intensity, and directness are valuable. Last season, only Enzo and João Pedro had more goal contributions than him. Unless a crazy offer comes in, I’d keep him. You don’t sell a productive player just because he isn’t aesthetically pleasing.

If we complete the signing of Pep Chavarría, I don't see how we start Chavarría, James, Palestra, and Rogers in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-3-1 hybrid. I think Alonso is building a squad that can play both formations (4-2-3-1 and 3-4-2-1). Rogers doesn't hug the line, so if Chavarría attacks, Palestra will play as RCB or rather be benched for James, as I don't see them together in defence. A 4-2-3-1 favours Gittens and Hato as underlapping LFB, or Rogers and Chavarría as overlapping LFB. Too many variables, but I would prefer a conventional 3-4-2-1 with Chavarría and Palestra as WBs.
