Privacy community, I need your help.
I want a DUMB TV.
Mainstream panels now ship with ACR fingerprinting and account gates because your viewing data beats the hardware margin.
I want a panel. Just a panel. Something that properly drives an Apple TV 4K (HDR, Dolby Vision, Atmos passthrough via eARC, HDMI-CEC) and does nothing else.
Looking for setups that have held up long term.

Was debating with myself on the pros and cons of fully remote work since 2020; now I can say for sure that nothing beats in-person work, with one caveat: only if the commute is short or nonexistent

Hate to break it to you, but the first LLM was created by Andrey Markov in 1913. he tallied up 20,000 letters from a famous novel and computed p(vowel | vowel) p(consonant | vowel) p(vowel | consonant) p(consonant | consonant) basically 'training' a bigram by hand

@jxmnop it's just a language model. it's an interesting thing though, when you ask claude for example it's very hard to get info on the topic of "language models" before LLMs, it basically says "language models = LLMs"

Oh god are we really doing this? Jeff Dean trained an n-gram model on the entire internet in 2007. Jelinek coined the term "language model" in the '70s. It's called "Claude" because Claude Shannon was estimating the entropy rate of the English language in 1951!
