My broker asked for my bank statements, salary slips, and Aadhaar... to rent a flat.
Not a home loan.
A flat.
I'd just moved cities for my first job. Found a place I actually liked good location, good price, good vibes.
Then the document list showed up, and it felt more invasive than applying for a loan.
I kept asking myself why does a landlord need my exact salary, when all he actually needs to know is one thing: can I afford the rent?
So I built Tr*stit a privacy preserving rental screening platform powered by @fhenix coFHE.
It's also the first app I've ever vibecoded end to end.
Here's what coFHE actually makes possible: the landlord sets eligibility requirements:
minimum salary, credit score, employment duration.
You enter your information, and it gets encrypted before it ever leaves your device.
The comparison happens directly on the encrypted data using Fully Homomorphic Encryption so the computation runs without anyone, including the landlord, ever decrypting your information.
The landlord never sees your salary. Never sees your credit score.
They get back exactly one answer:
Eligible. Or Not Eligible.
That's it.
No dossier. No exposure. No trusting a broker's WhatsApp group with your financial life.
Built with Solidity, Next.js, Convex, Reown, and Fhenix's SDK.
