Dear 11 and 12 year olds and their parents: The full size field is a year or two away. Those 200-250’ “dingers” you’re hitting now will be fly ball outs soon. I know we love those USSSA bats but you’re also a few years away from using BBCOR bats which will take away your “pop” overnight. The big field is a game changer. Some will make the transition seem easy but for many it has a way of humbling those kids who dominated the small field. Keep working hard. Be careful of thinking the game is easy. Each year from here on out will push you to get better. Will reveal your toughness. Will challenge you everyday. BTW, that 90’ sprint to first base will make you feel slow!! 🤣🤣 do your sprints!!

**Kerry Sheron (69, U.S. Army vet) was brutally beaten outside his pro-Trump decorated home ("Trump House") in Escondido, CA, on May 20 around 2:15 PM.** He died from the injuries over the weekend. Thomas Caleb Butler (32, local Navy vet with severe PTSD per a friend) was arrested on attempted murder charges (expected to upgrade to murder). Police and prosecutors call it an **unprovoked attack**. His wife believes the flags/displays were the motive, but officials say the full motive is still under investigation with no confirmed political link so far. Local news (FOX 5 San Diego, NY Post, NBC 7) has reported it extensively. Tragic loss.

Spy futures and nasdaq are only up because of low volatility due to the holiday. Any investor with a brain can see that there (at the moment) no deal to be made with Iran and us. The nuclear issue is too big to ignore for both sides.

Actually I'm with this guy. I think rebranding it Ghetto fatigue is a far better descriptor. Most of us know and love many people who are black so "black fatigue" just isn't direct enough. It's too broad. Ghetto fatigue works PERFECTLY because what we're really tired of is that god awful culture, that terrible attitude, that complete inability to control their action and emotions and celebration of that lack of control. and everyone knows exactly what you mean when you say ghetto fatigue.
Zeek Arkham 🇺🇸@ZeekArkham

I can promise you all, I’ve got way more ghetto fatigue than anyone else. I don’t say “black fatigue” because there are tons of us black folks who would never act this way. There’s a major difference between us. This is why I go so hard against the “ghetto/hood rat” community. They ruin everything.

@TaylorBurgess87 loved my time in adult hardball leagues. Out in SoCal you get to play against talented players. Upper 80's is legit hard to hit, especially if he has a breaking ball to go with it. Had a chance to hit off few ex major leaguers, college, etc. So many good memories, enjoy your time

Ive now had 3 former Major League Baseball players that are friends of our family tell me a few nuggets regarding my son and his baseball endeavors: 1. Stop with “lessons”. “Stop letting coaches validate themselves by finding something to change.” 2. Let him hit, hit, hit. 3. Stop hitting off machines. They aren’t realistic. Tee, flips, BP. That’s it. 4. Let the athlete be an athlete.

My 12-year-old son plays Little League and travel baseball. The difference in skill level is obvious. And this isn’t even some elite travel team. One thing I noticed immediately: At Little League, a lot of kids get dropped off by mom. At travel? The dads are there. Every game. Every practice. 100% all in. That kind of presence shows up in the player. Playing catch. Doing soft toss. Driving to extra lessons. Paying attention. Yes, the kid has to want it… Yes, the kid has to put in the work. But let’s not pretend the better players don’t usually have more support at home. Call it correlation if you want. I call it being a great Dad… If you bring kids into this world, you should be there for them at every turn.

@VinnieLevine29 There’s like 3 teams who could/would take on Webb’s remaining dollars as well as Chapman or Adames and they don’t need those guys and Webb hasn’t been good enough this year to rationalize it. That ain’t happening.

The chances the #SFGiants can trade any of their big money guys is next to none, but they can load up on lottery ticket prospects for guys like Ray, Arraez, Hentges, and maybe some other bullpen arms. They’ll be stuck with Lee, Adames, Chapman, Devers, and probably Bader.

@ABartholomew_05 SF will never have another catcher like posey. He was not a good catcher; he was a generational player, first ballot hall of famer.

I really think Daniel Susac can be our catcher of the future. He’s obviously not Posey like but can be a very solid piece for several years.

@jonanderson I enjoyed my kids travel baseball experience. Mostly tournaments within 1-2 hours away, one or two longer trips per year. Liked the other families. He's prepared for HS ball (starting JV catcher as a frrosh at a decently large HS). No regrets. Except for the condition of my lawn.

I got an idea, instead of college students, imagine if famous people and rich Black folk stop performing and playing in professional sports, until southern states stop passing racist laws… Yoo @DLHughleyRadio let me know if you need help organizing this effort, instead of asking our kids to sacrifice their lives!! Call Eddie Murphy, Steve Harvey, and Kevin Hart. Call Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Tyler Perry and let’s get this done. And while you are in conversation with them tell them to fire their white political/PR consultants and come get Black folk (and not Black folk that are comfortable) that actually know what it takes to move our people. Until then don’t tell our kids to give up shit!!

@kylestelter78 This is where context matters, because he’s actually not underrated. While his ERA is low, he’s top 20 in the league in inherited runners allowed to score. One of the main job of relievers is to get out of jams when needed, and he’s statistically one of the worst at it
