This week, we released Google AI Edge Eloquent, offering AI-enhanced dictation powered by #Gemma. The reception has been incredible, the app shot to top 20 on the iOS App Store productivity chart at its peak without any marketing.

just used google edge eloquent (bad name) and it works really well. the best part is its simple and somehow still gets all of what i want to say and makes bullet points

What shit tier model has @WisprFlow switched to these days? Absolutely garbage detection. The accuracy has gone to dogs.

@surils @Google The Eloquent mac app is working well, but only for English. The Gemma 12B model should be multilingual, so is this a limitation of the Eloquent app, or the model itself?

Google just shipped a free dictation app for Mac and iPhone called AI Edge Eloquent, and the model running it is Gemma 4 12B, entirely on your device. What it actually does: you speak, it transcribes, removes filler words, and polishes the result before dropping clean text into whatever app you are using. You can also give it voice commands to reformat, like "translate to Hindi" or "make this a bullet list." Audio and video file transcription is built in too. The interesting part is the privacy angle. Most AI writing tools send your audio to a server. This one never leaves your machine, which matters if you are dictating anything sensitive. The tradeoff is hardware: you need a Mac with at least 16GB of RAM to run a 12B parameter model comfortably.

There are some small bugs which I see.. Once those get sorted it will be great app to use on daily basis. - Text insert fail current on other agents like Cursor, Codex, Antigravity or other apps. - Also history saved is not working, I mean if you disable it, I see it's still saving it.

@surils @srnkcx @nikhiljoisr @WisprFlow also given this is a perpetual app - would be great if it can be 'removed' from the command tab app scroll thing. I know there's ways to make that happen - not sure of the exact technical execution.

Cześć, Eloquent na systemie Mac OS powinien być dostępny w Polsce do bezpośredniego pobrania ze strony internetowej. Daj mi znać, jeśli to nie zadziała. Aplikacja iOS jeszcze tam nie jest, ale nad nią pracujemy. Bądźcie czujni. I tak, dyktuję to za pomocą Eloquent. Opublikuję również wideo wraz z tweetem. Dzięki.

Mówisz do telefonu? Eloquent zamieni to w gotowy, profesjonalny tekst. Eloquent to aplikacja, która powstała w ramach inicjatywy Google AI Edge. Ma umożliwiać szybkie i wygodne tworzenie tekstu przez dyktowanie (speech-to-text), działać offline (Gemma), nie mieć limitów oraz pracować bez subskrypcji. Eloquent wydaje się dobrym rozwiązaniem dla osób, które uwielbiają głosówki. Ciekawie prezentuje się autokorekta tekstu, która sprawia, że finalny tekst wygląda na spójny i gotowy do użycia. Jakie widzicie zastosowania dla Eloquent? Ja obstawiam: szybka transkrypcja nagrań audio, praca z mailami, notatki, pomoc w poukładaniu myśli. Sam od czasu do czasu korzystam z Wispr Flow (praca w chmurze) i przyznam, że ta opcja u mnie się sprawdza, gdy na szybko potrzebuję przerzucić myśli do komputera lub telefonu. Niestety obecnie w Polsce nie jest dostępny do przetestowania. Czekamy. Ciekawe, czy Google uda się przenieść AI na urządzenie brzegowe (edge computing)? This is fantastic. @ai_for_success Thank you. I am using it right now to produce my first AI-assisted tweet. So far, I've tried writing a Gmail email, started a WhatsApp message, and now it's able to connect via the Brave browser to write this tweet. This is going to be a game-changer for me. I always make mistakes, either with punctuation or spelling, and then I hit send too early. This will be great to catch those.
