Over the past few months, we’ve sharpened Polygon Labs’ focus around one mission: moving all money onchain. As part of that journey, we are acquiring Coinme and Sequence. These teams bring deep expertise across regulated payments, wallets, and interop. As we begin integrating them into a combined organization, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to consolidate some overlapping roles at Polygon Labs. Given our historical expertise in infrastructure and blockchains, we need our team to fully transition into the leading payments-focused blockchain company. While our total headcount will remain similar following these changes, the mix of expertise between payments, wallets, and blockchain infrastructure continues to grow. These shifts are about structure, not performance. Our teammates who are departing are exceptional, and we’re deeply grateful for everything they’ve contributed to Polygon. We’re committed to actively supporting them through this transition. This is one of the hardest parts of building a company and accelerating the growth of a protocol, but making these changes is necessary to accelerate moving all money onchain.

@ONLYINFLORIDA20 @realsheepwolf cant ignore 43m in debt. 2m net debt position. also ceo can convert class v to a shares at any point so that should be included in the float. 62m shares outstanding per their own presentation. unlikely the other 62m shares are in the money. so market cap is 160m thereabouts.

@valwithcatalyst @EricTheUmpire Company is super controlled by Brandon directly and indirectly (multiple share classes that convert) so I don't think there is any chance of successful activism here. And he sold $5M of his own shares in a secondary a month or 2 back.

Imagine being a $BTM shareholder and seeing your management team sell 70,000 shares a month into this order book. 🤡

Trying to diversify out of my $COIN and miner holdings and I took a deep dive on the Bitcoin Depot $BTM stock today. They report Q1 earnings May 14th. At first glance, it looks like an outright scam. How does this trade on @NasdaqExchange? Common equity shares sit behind massive debt; the first $29m in distributions go to the preferred equity holders. The company is breakeven, and common stockholders, AKA $BTM holders, don't have a chance to make money. The BTM stock is basically a out of the money call option on a stock that is going the other direction. The ticker has been down only since IPO despite having "bitcoin" in the name; meanwhile, everything else with "bitcoin" in the name is ripping. To top it all off, on April 24th, the CEO just sold $5m in shares at the local pico bottom, or 17% of the common stock market cap! WHAT?! In the last year, the company did share buybacks above $2.50 a share; meanwhile, the CEO and COO are selling below $2 a share. What is the CFO doing? He thinks the common shareholder is their exit liquidity. The company reported a negative tangible net worth (taking out IP/Goodwill) in its 2023 YE 10-K, which makes it out of compliance with most money transmitter licenses it needs to operate in the required states. I'm trying to find a way not to short this thing with all of my liquid cash. Can someone give me the bullcase? Maybe earnings tomorrow will provide more color.

@Fry_Finance @NasdaqExchange or they are ok with the fraud since they stand to take it over when it goes under? though there def isnt 50m of assets to be liquidiated. the kiosks are prob worth 25-30% of the purchase value and that makes up their whole asset base.

@svc @NasdaqExchange Thanks for the tip on the litigation. Do you have a complaint? I heard they have a few other big pieces of litigation, too. I don't think they are going to make it long enough for any of the judgments to make a difference, as the stock will already be at zero.
