@Installation001 Is there any lore hinting to this being an early prototype for energy shielding? MK V [B] would’ve been prototyping energy shielding around this time.

Strictly speaking, the Mark-IV shouldn't have energy shields. So if you want a more lore accurate experience, go to gameplay settings and change the damage modifier for energy shields to 0. You can hate me later.
