Las Vegas A’s Construction Update Stopped by the Las Vegas A’s ballpark site today to grab some updated footage, and the progress is moving fast! You can really see the footprint of the stadium now. It looks like they’ve officially moved past the ground levels and are starting work on the third level of the structure. The massive support buttresses are nearly set, and the roof shoring is already popping up over the infield. It’s crazy to think this spot at Tropicana and Las Vegas Blvd will be home to 33,000 fans in a couple of years. Same corner. Completely different future. And if you’re standing there like I was today… You realize something: Vegas isn’t “getting” a team anymore. It already did. #vegas

Probably because people who’ve never set foot on the Strip are watching clickbait clowns (who don't disclose the entire story) melt down over a $9 Snickers, $12 Fiji, or a mini can of Pringles… and it’s scaring off anyone who doesn’t know better. Here's the reality. Vegas still has value—you just have to actually look for it. And before someone hits me with “it’s not like it used to be”—cool. I don’t give a fuck. Bread used to be three loaves for $1.50 too. You don’t see me crying about the days of bakeries gone by. Here's another reality check. The “insane value” era of Vegas has been dead for nearly a decade. It's over. It's not coming back. Please adjust accordingly. Now—the deal. This might be one of the best offers I’ve seen in “tourist trap” city post-pandemic. Full stop. If you’re a Vegas virgin reading this—relax. People punch down on these properties because it's easy. Are these places Bellagio or Wynn? No, you dummy. But they’re still massive mega-resorts in the middle of the ENTERTAINMENT CAPITAL OF THE WORLD. These are great “entry-level” properties for a newcomer to Vegas ... which is EXACTLY who this campaign is focused on attracting. NOW, MGM! … You’re halfway there. You may have the fish on the line with this bait ... reel them in and STAFF THE GOD DAMN FRONT DESKS! Don’t make first-timers wrestle with an app they don’t have or kiosks that often don't work. Pay your front-line staff properly so they'll welcome guests with a smile, show them maps, point out deals, and convince them to join the rewards program. ... and while they're at it, upsell those guests on a $20/day room upgrade. They'll likely pay it. You’re this close to turning a good deal into a repeat customer. Rant over.

Last year on a flight, I sat next to a woman holding a baby. Instantly, I was so excited at the prospect of helping with this baby. Before I could even introduce myself, the flight attendant walks over and says to me "Miss, can I talk to you the back of the plane, please?"
