Personal news alert: I’m starting my own company!
After almost five years at Star Atlas, I’m taking a leap of faith and pursuing something I have always wanted to do in my life, but only now feel confident and equipped to do it.
These past few years have taught me everything I know about business. Working every day next to @at_mwagner and the Star Atlas team has been the best experience of my life. Not only that, but I also had the blessing to make friends literally all around the globe. Everywhere I travel, there’s always someone from the Star Atlas community willing to meet or be a local guide. I couldn’t be more grateful for all of this, for all the memories in the Star Atlas Discord, every Brew, and every game night.
I feel now is the time to apply what I’ve learnt at Star Atlas and create value for more people and projects. I am moving to Dubai to start something with my lifelong friend @_osten, a dream we both had since we were two kids playing videogames at his grandmother’s place, and that is materializing now in this way.
This doesn’t mean I’ll fully leave Star Atlas, I’ll be transitioning into an advisor role and plan to continue to be involved in the community and team, just from a different position now. There’s nothing like Star Atlas being created in the world, and I have full trust that Michael and team are the most capable people to build this vision, coupled with the help of the best community in the world.

US burned Germany, nuked Japan, fought a bloody war in Vietnam, fought a bloody war in Iraq and none of those places chant death to America. The places that chant death to America are despot asshats that are so greedy that they can’t increase the standard of living of their own people. Despotic asshats maintain power through violence against their own people. Those who are loyal and carry out the violence against who are disloyal receive the spoils of all the wealth of the people. Japan and Germany are republics that have done well by their people. If things are going bad, they blame themselves - it’s the left or the right party screwing things up. Congress always sucks, news at 11. There is no one to blame internally in a despotic regime. Disloyalty is met with violence. Vietnam is authoritarian, but at least “enlightened despots”. They have pulled tens of millions of people out of poverty. Their leadership is legitimately trying to do well by their own people, despite being authoritarian. Russia, NK, Iran are despotic and are so biblically greedy that they are pushing more people into poverty instead of pulling. They take all the spoils of peoples labor and all the natural wealth of the nation to maintain power. There is nothing left after. These regimes need an enema to maintain legitimacy. It’s Americas or Israel’s fault, never their own.
